School libraries are shifting from the traditional notion of a library to a Library Learning Commons (LLC), which essentially moves the library “shh-shhh zone” to a space for collaboration, inquiry and project based learning in addition to an vast selection of hard copy paper based resources (BOOKS!!). The LLC encourages and supports students’ use of digital technology for research and delving deep into topics that spark their interest; which is a key component of the new curriculum. The LLC space is the heart of the school where all students can come to borrow books, research projects or find an additional space where they can be supported in their learning. The library does house a fantastic collection of books; French and English, Fiction and Non-Fiction; which is always being built upon.
