Ideal for concentrated, homogeneous, and uniform samples. Transmission mode measures the X-ray beam before and after it passes through the sample to provide highly accurate XAFS measurements. For best results, samples should be prepared to an appropriate thickness (approximately one absorption length above the absorption edge) for optimal results.
Ideal for thick, complex, or highly absorbing samples. Fluorescence mode measures the characteristic X-rays emitted by the sample, making it a practical alternative when transmission measurements are not suitable. The easyXAFS 300+ provides energy-resolved fluorescence detection, improving elemental selectivity and reducing background interference for high-quality measurements.
Air-sensitive preparation is available as an additional service. Let us know in advance so we can arrange the right setup for your material.
