About Me
What do you need to know about me?
I have been appointed in the role of celebrant to officiate both marriages and civil unions, so I can actively contribute to the community I live in. I enjoy supporting couples as they embark on the next chapter of their life together.
I think I have the ability to listen to the needs of others and support these needs in a genuine way, making the experience of your wedding special and unique for you both. I like to be able to contribute to the happiness of others, providing a very personal and special part of your wedding that you will always remember.
I value and appreciate the diversity of others and believe everyone should have everything they want on their special day. My time as a teacher and deputy principal has taught me to be a very organised person who would ensure you are well organised and prepared for your special day with the appropriate documentation.
I am supportive and able to make people feel at ease with my calm manner and approach. I am a problem solver, making me a good person in high-pressure situations. I have a level-headed approach to problems that occur and always work to find a solution that will be acceptable to everyone involved. I am a great public speaker, ( I have spoken at international education conferences in New Zealand, Australia and Canada), I speak clearly, and confidently and show confidence when speaking in front of people.
I think all of these skills will contribute to my success as a celebrant of marriages and civil unions in New Zealand.
