Lika Zhvania

I graduated with a Master of Science degree in Geoinformatics for Urbanised Society at the University of Tartu. I hold another Master's degree in Human Geography from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. I have experience in GIS related to the city planning field in the Georgian context. My previous working background includes network development in the telecommunication field throughout Georgia. My research interests include urban planning, segregation, urban mobility, and urban Big Data analyses.

My MSc thesis topic is: 'Connecting social network to mobility - comparison of the spatial pattern of mobility and the location of call partners based on passive mobile positioning dataset'.

I am fascinated with data analyses and visualisation. I am a co-founder of the company Z.axis - a team of social scientists using data analysis and visualization as tools to add to informed societal discussions.
