This page describes BilingualBoost 6.0, a Spanish learning app for iPhone and iPad with lessons, everyday practice, the ¡Hola! learning book, and optional Tilo guidance.
BilingualBoost saves learning progress, saved expressions, personal phrases, preferences, optional personal context, and learning moments in app storage on your device. No BilingualBoost account is required. The app does not include advertising or tracking. It does not access your contacts or location. Optional Apple services, purchases, sharing, and media controls are explained below.
Your device or system backup may include saved app information. Files you choose to export or share can exist outside the app. BilingualBoost cannot delete copies held by recipients or in your system backups. Game Center records you choose to share are held by Apple and are separate from your local learning records.
On compatible devices with Apple Intelligence available, you can enable practice drafts created with Apple’s on-device language model. The authored learning library works without this feature. Generated text can contain mistakes and is not a verified language assessment.
You choose whether to add personal context, which entries to enable, and whether to allow context in tutor requests. Up to five enabled entries can be used. The app does not infer relationships from repeated names. Editing or disabling relevant context cancels the current request and clears the earlier draft. The optional display name is used for your greeting, not tutor requests.
Tilo's contextual section help includes prepared guidance that works without AI. If you enable generated practice and your device supports the required Apple Intelligence model and languages, an optional reply is generated on the device from your question and the prepared guide for the selected app section. This section-help request does not include your progress, purchases, journal entries, photos, or recordings, and does not inspect your screen or perform actions. Generated replies are identified and may contain mistakes. You can turn generated practice off in Settings. The Ask Tilo shortcut opens your question in the app; it is not a separate AI conversation hosted by Siri.
You can edit or remove personal phrases and context, disable generated practice and context reuse, remove all personal context, and reset learned relevance preferences. You can prepare a JSON export of saved context, progress and learning-moment text. Attached media files are not included in that JSON export. This version does not import those exports. The app retains up to 5,000 recent practice events alongside current review progress.
If an earlier learning file is imported, its self-ratings remain historical and separate from new recall. Removing an imported expression removes its practice and history copies in this version; the original earlier-version file remains for recovery. If a saved file cannot be read, the app protects it from replacement and offers an exact recovery copy.
Listening activities use available bundled recordings or supported system voices, depending on the activity and text. Device voice availability depends on system settings. The app does not operate a live speech-generation service for learner text and does not score pronunciation. Optional personal recordings are made only when you choose to record; the app does not record automatically or listen in the background.
Reminders start disabled. If enabled, local reminders use your selected days, time, and quiet hours, subject to system settings. Reminder text does not include saved private names. You can disable reminders in the app or system settings.
The scrapbook is an optional feature in Discover → Growth & private moments. You can save a reflection, a Spanish expression, a photo you select using the system photo picker, or a short pronunciation recording you choose to make. The app requests microphone permission only when you choose to record. It does not listen in the background or make recordings automatically.
New attachments are drafts until you review them and choose to keep them. Saving the moment stores approved attachments in the app on your device. Canceling discards the unsaved attachment drafts. Imported photos are resized and rewritten without the original location or camera metadata; your original photo is not changed. The system photo picker may download a selected photo from your own cloud library before providing it to the app.
Learning moments, photos, and recordings are not sent to the optional tutor or to a developer-operated server. The growth chart describes recorded practice and saved moments, not a certified language level. Removing a saved moment removes its in-app attachment copies; system backups and any copies you previously shared are outside the app’s control.
BilingualBoost offers three optional one-time App Store purchases: Advanced Practice, the full ¡Hola! textbook, and ¡Hola! Complete Course. Complete Course includes the textbook and Advanced Practice. The 239-page learner book has a free preview of pages 1–19; an eligible purchase unlocks full-book access. Existing eligible purchases can be restored, and the app offers existing component owners the missing component rather than requiring the bundle.
Apple processes payments using your App Store account. BilingualBoost uses Apple's StoreKit service to verify and restore eligible purchases; the developer does not receive your card or bank details. Purchase verification and restoration may connect to Apple. BilingualBoost does not send your lesson progress, personal phrases, photos, or pronunciation recordings to Apple as part of purchase verification. Prices are displayed by the App Store before purchase. There is no external checkout or required subscription.
A refund or revoked purchase can remove the corresponding paid access. It does not erase your saved learning records. Use Restore purchases in the app's purchase screens. Future lessons added to the existing Advanced Practice pack remain included for eligible pack owners under the pack's existing terms. Apple account and refund rules apply.
BilingualBoost ofrece tres compras únicas opcionales: Práctica avanzada, el libro ¡Hola! completo y el Curso completo ¡Hola!. El curso completo incluye el libro y Práctica avanzada. El libro de 239 páginas tiene una muestra gratuita de las páginas 1 a 19; una compra elegible permite acceder al libro completo. Puedes restaurar tus compras elegibles. Si ya tienes uno de los componentes, la app te ofrece el que falta sin exigirte comprar el paquete completo.
Apple procesa los pagos mediante tu cuenta del App Store. BilingualBoost utiliza StoreKit de Apple para verificar y restaurar las compras; el desarrollador no recibe los datos de tu tarjeta ni de tu banco. La verificación y la restauración pueden conectarse con Apple. BilingualBoost no envía a Apple tu progreso, frases personales, fotos ni grabaciones como parte de la verificación de compras. Un reembolso o la revocación de una compra puede retirar el acceso de pago correspondiente, pero no borra tus registros de aprendizaje. Local trophies and practice work without Game Center. If you choose Connect & share achievements, BilingualBoost asks Apple to connect your Game Center account and sends progress for the app's supported achievements. If you choose Share scores & view leaderboards, it sends the two aggregate practice-score totals shown on that screen. Your Apple Game Center profile settings control social visibility.
Notes, recordings, conversations, study answers, photos, and personal context are not included in these Game Center reports. Failed achievement reports can remain queued locally for the same Game Center player and are retried when you choose to connect and share again. Resetting BilingualBoost does not erase achievements or scores already accepted by Apple. You manage your Game Center profile and Apple-held information through Apple's services.
Los trofeos locales y la práctica funcionan sin Game Center. Si eliges Conectar y compartir logros, BilingualBoost solicita a Apple que conecte tu cuenta de Game Center y envía el progreso de los logros compatibles de la app. Si eliges Compartir puntos y ver clasificaciones, envía los dos totales de puntos de práctica que aparecen en esa pantalla. Los ajustes de tu perfil de Game Center controlan la visibilidad social.
Estos envíos no incluyen notas, grabaciones, conversaciones, respuestas de estudio, fotos ni contexto personal. Los envíos de logros que fallen pueden quedar pendientes en el dispositivo para el mismo jugador de Game Center; se reintentan cuando eliges conectarte y compartir de nuevo. Restablecer BilingualBoost no borra los logros ni los puntos que Apple ya haya aceptado. Tu perfil de Game Center y la información almacenada por Apple se administran mediante los servicios de Apple.
Sharing and export begin only when you choose them. Review the content and destination before sending. Exports and recovery copies may contain personal information.

Send only information you intend to share; do not include private exports unless they are necessary and you want the support recipient to receive them. Support correspondence is handled outside the app by email.
Begin in Learn, or choose an activity in Practice. Saved keeps expressions you save and write. Discover offers cultural learning and Growth & private moments, where you can view practice history and save optional learning moments. Open Settings from the toolbar for language, voice, personalization, and reminder controls. Bundled recordings are available offline; system-voice availability depends on device settings. Optional generated practice requires a compatible device with Apple Intelligence available.
The original compliments app stores favorites locally using UserDefaults. It has no account, analytics, tracking, or developer-operated server. Device backups and any sharing you initiate are controlled by your device and chosen destination.
