Physiological Ecology, Herpetology, Biophysic Models
We study various ecological issues related to reptile species, such as their interactions with environmental factors, how physiology and behavior influence habitat use, life history traits, geographic distribution, and sensitivity to climate change. Our subjects include high-altitude lizards, forest species in lowland areas, and invasive species. Frequently used research methods include thermal physiology experiments, field surveys, roadkill database analysis, and the application of mechanistic models (biophysical models).
Recent research topics include:
Development and innovation of mechanistic models
Studying the ecological performance of ectothermic animals and their sensitivity to climate change
Freeze tolerance in high-altitude amphibians and reptiles
