Liyuan Dong

I am on the 2025-2026 academic job market.

I am a PhD candidate from the Department of Economics, National University of Singapore. Before coming to NUS, I obtained a M. Sc. in Economics from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and a Bachelor degree in Economics from Jinan University.

My research interests are in macroeconomics, applied to both developed and developing economies. My papers focus on understanding, i) how heterogeneous firms and households respond to shocks; and ii) family economics and inequality.
