About Me

I am an Economist at Wayfair. In October 2026, I defended my PhD dissertation in Economics at the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD). My research interests lie in Industrial Organization, Microeconomic Theory, Behavioral Economics, and Applied Econometrics. During my PhD, I interned at Amazon as an economist in the summers of 2024 and 2025. Before graduate school, I was a Pre-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago (EPIC) from 2019 to 2021. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Brandeis University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (highest honors) and Mathematics (honors).

I was born and raised in Beijing, China. I have 2 cats and 2 dogs. All of them live with my fiancé in La Jolla, CA.

I am a die-hard Boston Celtics fan who developed the love for the Red Sox and the Patriots since moving to MA in 2015. Beat LA!

I'm also an avid BBQ enthusiast. I currently own a Weber Kettle and a Weber WSM. I try to smoke and grill stuff at least once a week. My favorite cut to cook/eat is beef short ribs, and I'm open to all styles of BBQ!
