About Me

Since July 2021, I have been a PhD candidate (advanced in July 2023) in the Economics Department at the University of Maryland, College Park(UMD). In 2019, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Brandeis University, MA, with a Bachelor's degree in Economics (highest honors) and Mathematics (honors). In summer 2024 and 2025, I interned at Amazon as an economist. From 2019 to 2021, I was a Pre-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago (EPIC). My research interest lies in Industrial Organization, Microeconomic Theory,  Behavioral Economics and Applied Econometrics. 

I was born and raised in Beijing, China. I have 2 cats and 2 dogs. The 2 cats live with my girlfriend in La Jolla, CA, and the 2 dogs reside with me in Lanham, MD.

I am a die-hard Boston Celtics fan who developed the love for the Red Sox and the Patriots since moving to MA in 2015. Beat LA!

I'm also an avid BBQ enthusiast. I currently own a Weber Kettle and a Weber WSM. I try to smoke and grill stuff at least once a week. My favorite cut to cook/eat is beef short ribs, and I'm open to all styles of BBQ!
