Article I
PRINCIPLES AND POLICIES
Section 1: The Liwanag Youth Officials is hereby established as an independent organization, with no authority over its Volunteers and Members.
Section 2: Serving and assisting fellow citizens is the primary responsibility of the organization, which shall undertake activities and initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and well-being of the community.
Section 3: The organization shall uphold the intrinsic worth and dignity of every person, affirming their inherent rights and freedoms, and shall ensure that these rights are fully protected and respected in all its endeavors.
Section 4: Recognizing the fundamental equality of all individuals, the organization shall actively promote the participation and contribution of all members, regardless of gender, in its activities and leadership roles.
Section 5: The organization is committed to upholding honesty and integrity in all its dealings, both within the organization and in the public sector. It shall take proactive measures to promote transparency and accountability at all levels.
Article II
RIGHTS OF THE MEMBERS
Section 1: Every member of the Liwanag Youth Organization shall be entitled to due process in the disiplinary board, ensuring that no member shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property without proper legal procedures. Additionally, all members shall have the legal right to equal protection under our Constitution and By-Laws.
Section 2: No By-law or Regulation shall be enacted within the organization that infringes upon a member's freedom of speech, expression, or the press, nor shall it restrict a member's ability to peacefully assemble and engage in constructive dialogue within the organization.
Section 3: Members shall have the right to participate in decision-making processes within the organization, including the opportunity to vote on matters of significance and to express their opinions and concerns without fear of reprisal.
Article III:
Membership
Section 1: Membership in the Liwanag Youth Organization shall be extended to individuals who meet the following criteria:
Young people aged 15-30 years old who express a commitment to the organization's mission and values.
Those who actively participate in organizational activities, including but not limited to community service projects, leadership training, and advocacy campaigns.
Individuals who demonstrate a willingness to contribute positively to the organization's goals and objectives, fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and mutual respect.
Section 2: Membership status may be revoked or suspended if a member engages in behavior that violates the organization's code of conduct or undermines its mission and integrity. Such decisions shall be made following a fair and transparent process, with opportunities for the member to present their case and appeal any adverse decisions.
Article IV:
Disciplinary Procedures:
Section 1: Every member of the Liwanag Youth Organization shall be entitled to due process, ensuring that no member shall be subject to disciplinary action without proper procedures being followed.
Section 2: The disciplinary board shall be responsible for upholding the organization's code of conduct and ensuring fair treatment for all members.
Section 3: All disciplinary proceedings shall adhere to the principles of fairness, transparency, and impartiality.
Section 4: Members facing disciplinary action shall have the right to be informed of the allegations against them, to present evidence and witnesses in their defense, and to be heard by the disciplinary board.
Section 5: The disciplinary board shall conduct a thorough investigation into the allegations, considering all relevant evidence and testimony before reaching a decision.
Section 6: Any disciplinary actions imposed by the board shall be proportionate to the severity of the offense and shall be aimed at promoting accountability and upholding the organization's values.
Section 7: Members shall have the right to appeal any disciplinary decisions made by the board, and appeals shall be considered in a fair and timely manner.
Section 8: The disciplinary board shall operate independently and without bias, ensuring that all members are treated equitably and that disciplinary processes are conducted with integrity and professionalism.
