Hi! I’m Alivia Maus, but my students call me Ms. Alivia or Mrs. Maus. I’m an experienced educator with a passion for helping young learners build confidence and skills in reading, writing, and math.

With 17 years of classroom experience, I specialize in supporting learners in grades Kindergarten – 5th grade and Middle School transition through personalized, engaging instruction. I hold a Master of Science in Education with a specialization in Elementary Reading and Literacy, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with concentrations in Mathematics and Language Arts. My academic background, paired with years of hands-on teaching, helps me tailor each session to meet your child’s unique learning needs.

My approach is warm, encouraging, and personalized. Whether your child needs targeted intervention, summer review, or enrichment, I design sessions that build skills and make learning engaging. I especially love helping students who feel frustrated or stuck start to feel proud of their progress.

When I’m not teaching or tutoring, I’m busy being a mom to my four kids, who keep me on my toes with dance, basketball, soccer, cross country, and track. I love cheering them on from the sidelines! I also enjoy gardening, spending time outdoors, and finding new picture books and graphic novels at the library.

Let’s work together to make learning meaningful and fun for your child!
