In this joining of our sparks, timing is not as crucial as grounding. It is more important, we feel, for all those who participate to be well-grounded in the spark “practice” than to participate at the same time.” We suggest that, sometime between 10 am and 2 pm on the Sundays of our regular sessions, we each go through the three phases of the Spark “practice”: claiming our sparks by affirming and connecting with the spark(s) within people we find increasingly challenging; grounding in all three aspects of our “root” systems; and exploring and expanding our willingness to be transformed by the work for the work. Then, when and as moved, we may move into the extension by affirming and connecting with the spark in, for now, the president. Know that you are not alone in this. The power with you and behind you is mighty. If, however, you experience difficulty at this point, we suggest that you go back to the first step of claiming your spark with increasingly challenging people – you can start with the very easy, like us! - until your spark has been strengthened enough to confidently join this extension of the practice. This may take more than one session. It is something you can work on on your own. Click here to listen to a recording of a standard meditation in case that might be helpful. You are welcome to invite others to join in. This video may help to establish the foundation.
