A group of social entrepreneurs committed to providing an alternative system for sustainable energy production coupled with the elimination of plastic and other contaminating residues. We are doing all this by using an innovative technology known as microbial fuel cells.

Zayed Sustainability Prize Winners 2022 for Europe and Central Asia

On the 17th of January 2022, we were announced as the Zayed Sustainability Prize winners for Europe and Central Asia!

This prestigious, $100,000 environmental award will allow us to develop our microbial fuel cell prototype in our school to test it at a large scale and potentially expand our impact within and beyond our community!


Our mission and value statement

Our mission is for electricity to be accessible at a low-cost, everywhere, in a way that is also sustainable for the environment. The COVID-19 crisis which has affected us all, and a new problem has surged, which is the accumulation of plastic pollution, including facemasks, in our rivers and oceans. The value statement of our design is that it provides the opportunity to tackle this problem, through an innovative technology, while producing a useful good: electricity.


Our quantifiable goals

Goal 1

Making a difference to 450 people and 5 SMEs at a regional level by providing them with sustainable electricity access by end 2022.

Goal 2

With each of our designs, eliminating up to 60 kg of plastic residues a year and producing 507 kWh of power constantly.


Goal 3

Generating enough electricity to sustain the demand of 200 homes in 2025, especially those from low-income areas.

Goal 4

Integrating our designs into the work of water treatment plants by 2025.
