LiveSubReader respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data.
Permissions We Use
Our app requests the following permissions:
• Accessibility Service – used only to detect and read subtitle text displayed on screen in supported apps (such as YouTube) and convert it into speech in real time.
This service is NOT used for:
• monitoring user behavior
• collecting personal information
• recording screen content
• capturing passwords or payment information
• performing actions on behalf of users
• Google Play Billing – used to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions.
• Advertising ID (AD_ID) – used by Google AdMob for advertising and analytics purposes.
We do NOT request microphone, camera, contacts, or location permissions.
Information We Process
We may temporarily process:
• On-screen subtitle text – used only for real-time text-to-speech conversion
• Purchase information – to verify Pro status
• Anonymous device identifiers – for usage limits and advertising services
• Anonymous analytics and crash reports – to improve app stability and performance
We do NOT collect:
• Names
• Emails
• Phone numbers
• Messages or browsing history
• Screen recordings
• Audio recordings
We do NOT access the microphone.
We do NOT record any audio.
All subtitle data is processed locally on the device and is never transmitted to our servers.
Third-Party Services
Limited anonymous data may be processed by trusted third-party services:
• Google Play Services – billing and core app functionality
• Google AdMob – displaying advertisements and measuring ad performance
• Firebase Services – authentication, anonymous analytics, crash reporting, and cloud synchronization
These services operate under their own privacy policies.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties.
No subtitle content, screen data, or audio data is stored or transmitted externally.
Data Retention
• Anonymous analytics and usage data: up to 90 days
• Billing records: retained as required by law
We do not store subtitle or screen content.
User Control
Users may:
• Disable Accessibility Service at any time
• Stop using subtitle detection features
• Uninstall the app
• Stop all data processing immediately
Accessibility Service Disclosure
LiveSubReader uses Android Accessibility Service solely to detect subtitle text displayed on screen and convert it into speech in real time.
The Accessibility Service is never used to:
• collect personal information
• capture passwords or payment data
• monitor user activity
• record screen content
• perform actions on behalf of users
No accessibility data is stored or transmitted externally.
