This should be the final tune-up for Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before they start their title defense, in earnest.

Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians said that he would be playing his team's starters for the first half of Saturday's preseason game against the Houston Texans, the last before the start of the regular season.

The defending Super Bowl champion Buccaneers (0-2) are still searching for their first preseason victory and are coming off of a 34-3 loss against the Titans in which Tampa did not play its starters. Rookie quarterback Kyle Trask struggled, completing 13 of 26 passes for 131 yards with two interceptions, and the Buccaneers gained just 207 yards of total offense.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Houston Texans would be a battle of David vs. Goliath in the regular season. However, in the preseason, this might actually be a fairly even matchup. The Buccaneers are not expected to start many of their key players, and neither is Houston. Can the Texans use that to their advantage to get the win here? Let’s look at the start time, TV channel, how you can live stream the game, and the current NFL odds for the Buccaneers vs. Texans game.

Tampa Bay has lost both of their preseason games so far after getting embarrassed 34-3 by the Tennessee Titans last weekend. Houston, meanwhile, is a perfect 2-0 in the preseason after beating the Dallas Cowboys 20-14 on the road last Saturday. Yet, Tampa Bay is favored here by more than a field goal.

The defending Super Bowl champions are favored because head coach Bruce Arians has indicated the starters will play up to a half or more, depending on their performance. That likely will not include Tom Brady for very long, but expect to see Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Antonio Brown get significant playing time. Even if Kyle Trask is throwing them the ball, it should still be enough to score some points on this Houston defense.

Meanwhile, the Texans will also be playing their starters late into this game. Starting QB Tyrod Taylor has seen limited action so far in the preseason, but rookie Davis Mills has looked impressive. With the two of them sharing the load, I expect this game to be competitive at least until halftime.

I can’t take either side in this one because of how unpredictable the second half will be once the starters come out. However, I do like the over 37. Both teams should be able to score in the first half, and then penalties and mistakes after halftime should get this total over.

The Texans and Bucs will face off in each team's final preseason game. What a difference the preseason is over the regular season, because the Texans are currently undefeated while the defending champ Bucs are 0-2.

The Bucs come into this last game after losing to both the Bengals and Titans. Most teams are not concerned with losing their preseason games, but the Bucs probably care even less. The starters have rarely played as they are just trying to get through these three games without getting anyone hurt.

The Texans have to be encouraged with their wins even if they don't mean anything. Houston is short on talent this year, and with Deshaun Watson's future still in doubt, there isn't a lot of optimism for the Texans right now.

Tyrod Taylor looks like he is going to get his opportunity to start for the Texans with Watson still out.

Don't expect to see much out of either team's starters in this game, but do tune in for one last preseason matchup.
