We, the PhD students of the Lingue Department at the University of Verona, started the LiVe Lunches to create a safe space, just for us students, where we can discuss our research, rehearse talks, and give each other all the necessary support and encouragement to survive our PhDs. Initially, the LiVe Lunches took place on Wednesdays during lunch breaks, hence the name.
Starting from the Academic Year 2023/24, the LiVe Lunch initiative has been structured into five series:
Among us 🫂: appointments dedicated to presentations by UNIVR and UNIBZ PhD students
Guest stars 🌟: talks by PhD students or researchers from other Universities
Is there life after a PhD? 🔭: meetings with Doctors of Philosophy to find out what's next
PhDiscussion 💬: chances to read and discuss about different scienific topics
Parties 🪩: informal gatherings around the main holidays
Wednesday, 9th July 2025, 12:00
Among us 🫂
Linguistic atlases 2.0 - The thrill of searching for geolinguistic data... and incredibly finding them

This year the LiVe Lunches will take place both at the university (Co-Working Room) and via Zoom (https://univr.zoom.us/j/97710829746).
