This video elective is a very unique program in the ABC Unified School District that is specific to Tetzlaff Academy. The Live in 5 Show is the best broadcast in the district, and the entire program is run like a business.

The Intro Media Program At Tetzlaff is a CTE pathway program allowing your student to  continue this program in high school and possibly into a career.  CTE  or Career Technical Education is a program provided through ABC unified School District and the Sate of California.

Assignments:

The curriculum is  accessible with training videos and instructions that can aid parents and tutors. 

Slides from each class are posted  every week on Google Classroom. They have all the details of class including announcements and training videos. 

Training videos are also posted on the Tutorials tab to the left. 

PROCESS: Students are provided ample class time to begin or complete each project. Additional time is provided at home for students who need more time. Q&A sessions are provided for every project during class. Students are responsible for all deadlines. Absences do not excuse deadline expectations.

Materials required:

Canon R10- Provided by Perkins Funds (CTE)

Computer (Chromebooks, Macbooks and Imac) Provided in class .

Google Classroom:

All assignments will be posted weekly in Google Classroom.  Some projects may take a week or two weeks to complete.  Students are given ample amount of time to complete their assignments.

Software used:

Students will be provided with a  WeVideo account to complete video projects online.   This is intended for school purposes only,  and the account will be terminated upon completion of the course. Students need a laptop or work station computer to complete assignments. Mobile devices will be inefficient for editing. However, cameras on mobile devices are acceptable for capturing photos and videos.

Grading

Grading is straight-forward calculating total points earned. Weighted grading is not used in this course.

If there are any questions about the student's grade, please have the student see me the following school day .

There are no guarantees on grade changes.

EXTRA CREDIT: Only permitted if ALL required assignments have been completed.

MAKE-UP/CORRECTIONS: Students are encouraged to make corrections on previous projects and resubmit them for a better grade.
