We will review and respond to your request within a reasonable period of time and in accordance with applicable laws.
Welcome to Livechat (“we”, “our”, or “us”), provided by the developer identified on its App Store product page. This Privacy Policy covers the current Livechat iOS app and information you separately send to us for support.
It explains what information is handled, why it is used, where it is stored, and your choices. Most account and social records remain within this installation on your device. Apple sign-in, App Store purchases, and external media requests involve the providers described below.
This policy is not blanket consent to unrelated processing. Where a use requires consent or device permission, we obtain it separately. We will update the date above when practices change and provide additional notice or obtain renewed consent where required before new processing begins.
Personal Information
Information that identifies or can be used to identify you directly or indirectly. For example: nickname, device identifiers, limited contact information (if you choose to provide it), profile photo, and any other information you choose to provide.
Anonymous / Aggregated Information
Information that does not identify you individually. For example, statistics about how many users use a particular feature, or how often certain content is viewed.
Service Providers
Companies that process information on our behalf for a specified service. Such providers must be limited to authorized purposes and appropriate data protection obligations. Providers acting independently, such as Apple for payment processing, handle their own records under their own policies. Section 5 describes the providers relevant to this version.
Third-Party Partners
External services accessed for supported functions, such as Apple sign-in, App Store purchases, or hosted images and videos. Referencing a third party does not mean that it receives your entire profile or private messages.
Registration and Profile Information
Livechat supports email and password registration and sign-in, and Sign in with Apple. Account records can include an account identifier, email address, credential information, nickname, profile photo, biography, country, gender, language, and birthday or age where supplied. Birthday is used to calculate the age displayed in the profile. Country is selected by you rather than measured using device location services.
Sign in with Apple supplies an identifier and may supply your name and email, including a private relay address if you choose it. Available name and email details are remembered in the device Keychain for later sign-in. We do not receive your Apple Account password.
Profile and Content Information
The app saves photos selected or taken for avatars, image posts, room covers, and private messages, along with captions, comments, room details, and relevant dates. It processes the selected images rather than uploading your entire photo library. Images are stored as app-owned files and are not automatically saved back into your photo library. The publishing flow does not currently accept video or audio uploads.
Profile and content fields can be displayed to accounts permitted by the app's visibility controls within this installation. Avoid placing sensitive information in public-facing fields.
Communication Information
Conversation records include sender and recipient identifiers, message text or photos, and dates. They are stored locally for the relevant accounts. The current release does not deliver these records to users on other devices through a Livechat messaging server. Room chat lasts for the current room session rather than a persistent message history.
Report records contain the reporting account, reported account or content identifier where available, and time. Reports stay on the device. The current Feedback form does not deliver a support ticket. If you email us separately, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include and use them to address that inquiry.
Payment Information
Apple processes App Store payments. Livechat receives product and verified transaction information needed to deliver coins, including a transaction identifier and an app account token that binds the purchase to the account that started it. That token is supplied to Apple for this purpose.
The local wallet stores coin changes, transaction identifiers, dates, and reasons for credits or spending; inventory records store virtual items. We do not receive your full payment card number, bank login, or Apple Account password. This version offers consumable coin packs, not auto-renewing subscriptions.
Account Activity and Preferences
The app stores local follows, blocks, likes, saved posts, hidden content, notification read status, privacy preferences, check-ins, level progress, and cleared-chat markers. These records let it display activity and apply account-specific controls. The current implementation does not send screen-view events or behavioral analytics to an analytics service.
Network Request Information
Loading external images or videos exposes the requesting device's IP address, requested media address, request time, and standard request headers to the media host and its delivery providers. Apple also handles information needed for sign-in and purchases under its policies. The app does not intentionally attach your Livechat password, private messages, or full profile to media requests.
This release does not integrate an advertising network, cross-app tracking SDK, or separate crash-reporting or behavioral analytics service. It does not request the advertising identifier, contacts, health data, or device location permission.
Camera Microphone and Photos
Camera access is used to take a profile photo, add a photo to a post, take a room cover photo, or display a camera preview on the call screen. Photo library access lets you select images for profiles, posts, covers, and private chats. Where iOS allows limited access, the picker uses the images you permit.
The current call entry flow requires microphone authorization. The call screen displays a local camera preview, but this release does not record or transmit call audio/video to another participant. The preview stops when you leave the call screen or the app becomes inactive.
You can refuse or revoke permissions in iOS Settings for Livechat. A feature needing that permission may then be unavailable. Revoking permission does not erase images already saved in the app.
Local Storage and Caches
The app remembers the active account and its settings and caches supported images or network responses to reduce repeated downloads. Caches may be shared at the app level. This version does not operate a Livechat website cookie or advertising-tracking service. A third-party website you independently open may use its own technologies and privacy controls.
We use your information strictly for legitimate purposes connected to providing and improving Livechat.
We use information for the features you request, including:
Recognizing the signed-in account and displaying its profile and locally saved content.
Applying visibility, mutual-follow, blocking, and contact controls.
Maintaining account-specific settings, activity, virtual items, and local notices.
Verifying purchases, crediting the initiating account, and preventing duplicate credits.
Responding to inquiries you send directly to our contact email.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing must have that basis: providing a requested service, consent where required, a relevant legal obligation, or a legitimate interest in security and correct transaction handling where your rights do not override it. Device permission does not authorize unrelated uses.
Show content, users, and features that may be relevant to your interests
Customize certain in-app recommendations or feeds
Remember your settings and preferences (such as language, notification preferences)
We do not use your personal information for any purpose that is incompatible with those described in this Privacy Policy without your consent.
We may use information you voluntarily send in a support request to investigate that issue and improve the affected feature. The current app does not send behavioral analytics, screen-view histories, or crash telemetry to a separate analytics service.
If we introduce a new collection or analytics service, we will update the policy and provide any required notice or consent before using it. Existing local activity records are not described as anonymous merely because they use an account identifier instead of a name.
We use the contact information you provide in an email to answer that inquiry and follow up where needed. The current app does not operate a marketing email or advertising-message program.
In-app notice preferences control the notices supported by the app. They are separate from iOS permissions and do not automatically enroll you in external communications. Any future promotional messaging must have a lawful basis and an appropriate way to opt out.
We do not sell your personal information.
We only share information in the limited circumstances described below.
Apple: Sign in with Apple and App Store purchases involve Apple's processing of identity and transaction information. Apple controls its own payment and purchase records. The app account token sent with a purchase identifies its intended Livechat account; it is not your password.
External media hosts: Supplied images and videos are requested from hosts including Unsplash and Pexels and their delivery providers. They can receive the network request information described in Section 3.2. This does not give them access to your local conversations or the contents of your photo library.
The relevant provider policies are available at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/, https://unsplash.com/privacy, and https://www.pexels.com/privacy-policy/.
The current release has no cloud account synchronization, advertising network, or remote social database operated by Livechat. Libraries used to load images and display the interface run within the app; they are not described here as separate analytics providers. Any provider engaged to process personal information on our behalf must be limited to the relevant purpose and appropriate protection obligations.
You may choose to disclose information yourself, for example by sending an email to support or opening a third-party service. We will not treat that choice as permission for unrelated sharing. Additional sharing by us requires an applicable legal basis and any notice or consent required by law.
We may disclose information we actually hold when there is a lawful basis and we reasonably believe the disclosure is necessary to:
Comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests
Enforce our Terms of Service or protect our rights and property
Protect the safety, rights, or property of our users or the public
Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.
Any disclosure should be limited to relevant information. This provision does not mean that we can remotely retrieve local-only records from your device.
Information is anonymous only when a person cannot reasonably be identified from it. Account identifiers and transaction identifiers can still be personal information and are not automatically anonymous.
The current app does not send a separate stream of usage statistics to us. If anonymous or aggregated information is used in a future service, the underlying collection and any processing of identifiable information must still have an appropriate legal basis and be disclosed.
We take the security of your personal information seriously.
The app uses iOS local app storage, account checks for private views and changes, and the device Keychain for remembered Apple sign-in details. These are application and device protections; this policy does not promise that every local file is independently encrypted or that conversations use end-to-end encryption.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Keep your device protected with a passcode, install supported security updates, and sign out on shared devices. Someone with access to your unlocked device or an already signed-in account may be able to view information.
The app applies account ownership and privacy checks to private views, balances, settings, and activity. Switching accounts does not intentionally expose or transfer another account's private records. Device-level caches are not necessarily separated by account.
The developer does not have a remote interface for reading the local account database in this release. Information you separately send to support should be accessed only by people who need it to handle the request or a relevant legal obligation.
Local account and activity records remain while the account is retained unless a supported feature removes them. Signing out does not delete saved records. Clearing image or network caches does not delete the profile, wallet, or all selected photos. Clearing a chat list hides earlier messages for that account and may leave the underlying conversation intact.
Deletion is described in Section 7.2. Limited completed-purchase transaction identifiers remain after account deletion to prevent duplicate credits. They do not retain the deleted profile, but may still be associated with purchases in Apple's records. They have no automatic time-based expiry in the current local ledger.
Information you send directly to support should be kept only as needed for the inquiry and relevant legal obligations. Apple and external media providers control the retention of their own records. The app does not provide cloud backup, but data may be included in device backups depending on your Apple or computer backup settings.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information.
You can review and edit available profile fields, manage your own posts, change a password where applicable, and update Privacy Settings. Profile information can include birthday or age, country, language, and other fields you supplied, in addition to nickname and avatar.
You can use blocking and contact controls to manage interactions. Messaging and call entry depend on mutual following and the other account's applicable privacy choices. Contact us if you need assistance with information we actually hold; the current app has no automated data export or remote access to your local ledger.
To delete the active account, open Settings > Delete account and confirm. Check which account is active before proceeding. The app removes that account's profile, posts, rooms, related comments and conversations, relationships, reports involving the account, settings, inventory, and wallet history from the local ledger. It also removes Apple identity details saved by this app for that account.
Unreferenced app-owned media is scheduled for local cleanup. Files still referenced by surviving records are retained, and a storage error can delay cleanup. Limited purchase transaction identifiers remain to prevent duplicate crediting, as described in Section 6.3. Unrelated accounts are preserved, although shared interactions involving the deleted account may also be removed.
Deletion cannot be undone through the app. It does not automatically request a refund, erase Apple's purchase records, revoke Sign in with Apple authorization in your Apple Account settings, remove external provider logs, or delete device backups and copies outside this installation. Manage those records with the relevant provider.
For information held separately by the developer, such as a support email, you may send a deletion request to the contact address above. We will handle it under applicable law, including any lawful retention exceptions.
You can change supported in-app notice preferences and privacy settings, and revoke camera, microphone, or photo access in iOS Settings for Livechat. You can manage Sign in with Apple through your Apple Account settings separately.
This release does not enroll you in a marketing message program. If promotional communications are introduced, any required consent and an appropriate unsubscribe method must be provided. Withdrawing consent stops future processing based on that consent; it does not undo processing already lawfully completed.
In some regions, you may have the right to:
Object to certain types of processing (for example, direct marketing)
Request that we restrict processing of your personal information in certain circumstances
You may also have rights to access, correction, deletion, or a copy of information and to complain to a competent privacy authority. Contact us to exercise applicable rights. We may need reasonable verification, but do not send passwords or unnecessary identity documents. We will respond within applicable legal periods. Our ability to retrieve local-only records is limited because we do not remotely access your device.
Minimum Age 17
Livechat is intended for users aged 17 and older, or a higher minimum age if required by applicable law. Users under 17 are not permitted to use the Services. A self-reported birthday is not proof that age or identity has been verified.
If we learn that information we hold was provided by someone below the applicable minimum age, we will take appropriate steps under applicable law, including deletion where required. A parent or guardian may contact us about such information and use the in-app deletion controls for records stored on the device. Livechat is not designed as a children's service.
The local account ledger remains in this app installation. Apple services and requests to external media hosts may involve processing of account, transaction, or network-request information outside your country. Those providers describe their processing locations and safeguards in their own policies.
If we transfer personal information we hold to a provider in another country, the transfer must have a lawful basis and any safeguards required by applicable law. This policy does not represent that a particular transfer agreement or server location exists when it has not been established.
The Services may contain links to websites, apps, or services operated by third parties.
If you choose to use these third-party services, any information you provide will be subject to their own privacy policies, not this one.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with any personal information.
Apple processes sign-in and in-app purchase information under its own policies. Livechat receives only the information needed by the implemented features described above and does not receive full payment card details or your Apple Account password.
This version does not access the advertising identifier or track you across other companies' apps and websites for targeted advertising. Camera, microphone, and photo permissions are handled separately through iOS. Future tracking or additional data uses would require updated disclosures and any consent required by law and Apple's rules before they begin.
The Privacy Policy and the App Store App Privacy disclosures must accurately reflect the release being distributed, including relevant third-party processing. This policy is not a claim that Apple has approved the app or verified every disclosure. Questions and privacy requests may be sent to connorsterling37@icloud.com.
