Founder & President
My name is Kim Shoop, and I am the widow of Brian Shoop and the founder of the Live Your Dash Memorial Fund. I established the nonprofit in memory of my beloved husband, with the hope of keeping his legacy alive by giving back to the people and causes he cared about most.
Brian was a man of deep faith with a heart for serving others, especially individuals with disabilities. He was also an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. Some of his greatest joys came from sharing those experiences with family, friends, and others.
As I continue to find purpose through my pain, I believe that helping others is an important part of my healing journey. Through the Live Your Dash Memorial Fund, I hope to honor Brian’s life while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Family, faith, and friendship are at the center of my life. Brian and I were blessed with four adult children and two grandchildren. I am also a full-time caregiver for my adult sister, who has a disability, and for my mother. I am surrounded by the love and support of an incredible group of friends we affectionately call “Shoop Nation.”
In my spare time, I enjoy being with family and friends, worshiping, entertaining, and hosting a good dinner party. Above all, I am committed to continuing to “live my dash” by loving, serving, and helping others.
