The Lédger® Stax Wallet is a premium hardware wallet designed for managing supported cryptocurrencies and NFTs while keeping private keys protected by dedicated hardware security. Ledger describes Stax as a touchscreen signer featuring a curved E Ink® display, Ledger OS, and a Secure Element chip.
One of the defining features of Lédger® Stax is its 3.7-inch curved E Ink® touchscreen. The display uses 16 grayscale levels and a 400 × 670 pixel resolution. Its larger format is designed to make transaction details easier to review before signing. Ledger promotes this as a clear-signing experience that lets users review transaction information directly on the device.
The display can also be personalized. Users can name their device and set a favorite image or supported NFT as the lock-screen artwork. This gives the hardware wallet a more personal appearance while retaining its security-focused design.
Lédger® Stax uses a Secure Element chip and Ledger OS as part of its security architecture. Ledger lists the Secure Element as the ST33K1M5 and states that it has CC EAL6+ certification. The device also uses a PIN as part of its access controls.
The hardware wallet is intended to keep cryptographic keys protected while transactions are reviewed and approved on the device. Users should always verify important transaction details on the hardware screen before confirming an operation.
Ledger Stax supports multiple connection methods. Ledger lists Bluetooth® Low Energy 5.2 for compatible iOS and Android smartphones, USB-C for desktop and Android use, and NFC for functions involving the Ledger Recovery Key and security-key features. The device also supports Qi wireless charging.
Its compact design measures approximately 85 × 54 × 6 mm and weighs about 44.2 grams. Embedded magnets allow compatible Stax devices and accessories to stack together.
Lédger® Stax supports thousands of coins, tokens, and NFTs through compatible wallets and services. Ledger's current product information states that more than 500 cryptocurrencies are supported through the Ledger Wallet app, including assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and stablecoins. Supported assets and third-party services can change, so users should check Ledger's current compatibility information before purchasing or transferring an asset.
Current Ledger Stax packages include a Ledger Recovery Key, which Ledger describes as a private backup that can help restore access to assets. Ledger says the Recovery Key uses a Secure Element and PIN protection and remains offline. Users should follow Ledger's official instructions when setting up or using this feature.
