Below you can find some web resources for 3D objects (3DS, SKP and Ogre XML formats supported) and textures that can be used in Live Home 3D. Some of the sources provide both free and paid 3D models or materials. Please note that we cannot guarantee that all 3D models and textures can be properly imported and used in Live Home 3D software. Make sure to check the model and texture copyrights on each particular website.

Sketchfab is one of the leaders in the 3D and AR visualization online and has the largest community of 3D creators. The website provides paid 3D objects as well as downloadable free 3D models available under Creative Commons licenses.

Free 3D contains 10,000+ free 3D models in .3ds, .obj, .c4d, .3dm and other formats. You may download and use these objects in any personal project for free. Make sure to register using a valid email address to be able to download 3D models.

You can arrange objects in the layout using the Align and Distribute commands located in the Arrange menu. The Align and Distribute buttons can be added to the toolbar using the Customize Toolbar dialog.

When you distribute objects, only the ones in the middle will change their location. The top and bottom objects (when distributed vertically) or the left and right (when distributed horizontally) stay in the original locations. Thus, you should place the two objects on the sides properly, then select them with objects in the middle, and finally, run one of the Distribute commands.

The tools in this section are intended to work with objects which are created using the drawing tools such as a wall or floor. Stroke and Fill can be applied to the Text Annotation object. You can also use the Stroke tool to change the color of the Dimension object.

The Auto Outline option works with most of the library objects and all imported objects. If you select it, the app will create the object's outline based on the top view. The image will be in the vector format. Auto Outline can be combined with the Stroke, Fill and Hatch settings explained earlier.

The Auto Image option creates a 2D representation upon the current object's top view. It is similar to what you can see in the 3D view. There is the possibility to change the opacity of the image which is useful when objects overlap on the floor plan. The created image will be in the raster format.

The Distribute section has two blocks of buttons. The left block lets you distribute spacing or centers of the selected objects. This feature is mostly used for objects of Furniture type. You must select at least three objects. Open the floor plan to use these tools.

The block of two buttons on the right can distribute spacing and centers of windows, doors, openings, niches, and wall panels that are installed into a wall. You must select at least three objects. You can use these tools on either floor plan or in Elevation view (Pro edition only).

The Rotate property lets you rotate objects. You can input an exact angle or use the steppers. In many cases, it is convenient to rotate an object on the floor plan directly with the help of the object's circular handle.

As soon as an object is added to your project, you can change its type and other properties. By default, the type of all imported objects is Furniture. If you imported a door, window or staircase, select the proper object type in the Type and Representation dialog.

Imported objects may have references to one or several textures. You may be asked to locate a folder containing those textures. You can also opt to skip opening textures and simply use the materials from the built-in library.

The Split Object Instances option can split a compound object turning its parts into separate objects. An imported object will be added to your project as a group which includes all of the original parts.

Models can be split only when they are made out of several components. For example, some models are composed of several objects (a lamp, a computer, books, etc. on a table). If objects are made up of components, you can split them to remove or rearrange some of these components.

Most of the objects can be previewed only from the outside like a cube. To simplify 3D models of these objects, faces of invisible object parts may not be created. An open box (a cube with one side removed) should have both internal and external faces on all five sides because the internal parts should be visible as well. The lack of faces where they are needed, makes parts of an object invisible.

On the other hand, adding faces leads to increasing the 3D object complexity, which results in increasing the document size. A good practice would be the following. Normally, import objects with the Make all surfaces double-sided option deactivated. If a part of an imported object is invisible, reimport this object with the activated option.

To rotate an object in the 2D Plan view in the Windows version, select it and drag the round handle near the selection frame. To preview the object's angle with decimals, rotate an object holding down the Ctrl key. In order to constrain the angle to 15 degrees steps, rotate an object holding down the Shift key. You can also rotate objects using the Object Properties tab of the Inspector.

On touch devices, the rotation of objects with Gestures requires some practice: tap on an object to select it; place a finger on the selected object again, move aside slightly and hold; place another finger anywhere outside the object and move the finger around to rotate the object.

In order to group objects, you must select them. Tap on a first object to select it. Place and hold a finger anywhere on the screen (this can also be the selected object). Then tap on other objects that you want to select. Long press on any of the selected objects to bring up the context menu. Then choose the Group command.

Nested grouping is also supported. You can group either separate objects or a group with another group. When you ungroup the bigger group, objects in a nested group will remain grouped. For example, you can group a lamp with a table. This group can then be grouped together with a chair. After ungrouping the overall group, the table with the lamp will remain grouped and the chair will be separate.

No matter whether one or several objects are selected, the command will merge parts of object(s) with the same material applied. Such parts will be turned into a single bigger part. The command will not change the object appearance.

Merging is effective for objects that contain identical details. For example, a 3D model of a tree can be created by duplicating the same leaf many times. This tree will be rendered faster if you merge its parts rather than group them. Merging is also preferred if the objects you wish to combine have the same material applied.

This method is highly effective and people can learn interior and home design incredibly fast. The software was tested by numerous professionals and it always earned an A-plus for ease of use. It's a highly accessible and affordable program that will help any novice learn the basics and much more.

It's quite outstanding how precisely, quickly and most importantly, easily you can furnish and layout an entire house or a single room.

So, if you want to see the 2D layout side by side in 3D, you can move different objects around the 2D layout and the software automatically makes the same real-time adjustments in 3D. You can also do a 3D walkthrough after you complete your design's draft.

The website has easy navigation and everything is transparent. Very few software solutions offer such an easy-to-master, quick, real-time learning tools like the Live Home 3D interior design app. It will allow you to go from a rank novice to a skillful interior and home 3D designer in a fairly short amount of time.

The program/app is intended for interior design and it has limited landscaping options while providing a rather rich and abundant selection of 3D home and interior design objects. With an extremely user-friendly interface, this is the most recommended software package for those who are new to interior design and would like to get a hang of it pretty quickly.

The Live Home 3D interior design program is mainly focused on the interior design sphere, so if you want something related to landscaping, this software isn't the best choice. But, regardless, with a lot of indoor objects in the program's library and plenty of easy-to-learn tools, this app will make a competent designer out of you fairly quickly.

As mentioned, you can create structures in both 2D and 3D, import a multitude of indoor objects like doors, windows, plants, and furniture, and so on. It's by far the easiest software to use for 3D interior design and that's why it's simply perfect for those who are new to the field, like first-year students and design enthusiasts. ff782bc1db
