I am a senior economist in the Economic Analysis Department at the Reserve Bank of Australia, where I work on the macroeconomic and financial implications of climate change and climate policy in Australia and globally. I am affiliated with the Centre of Applied Macroeconomic Analysis (CAMA) at ANU as a research associate. I am also a part-time researcher at the Kirby Institute at UNSW, where I serve as a chief investigator at the NHMRC Centre of Excellence in Stronger Investments for Infectious Diseases, focusing on the macroeconomic and fiscal aspects of public health.
Prior to joining the RBA, I was an academic at the Arndt-Corden Department of Economics in the Crawford School of Public Policy at ANU, and was also affiliated with the ARC Centre of Excellence in Population Ageing Research. I hold a PhD in economics from ANU, and a master in economics and a bachelor in computer science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University China.
I am broadly interested in macroeconomics, public economics and international economics, and particularly interested in long-term global economic issues, including global demographic change, international climate policy, and global collective action. I also have a strong interest in game theory especially in the context of externalities, public goods and collective action.
