The playground where I made this observation.

The Observation:
When I was riding a bike in a park, I saw a young girl come into the playground . She was with her father or grandfather, I wasn't sure. Then, she started to ride her bike. She circled the playground on her bike many times until her father/grandfather started to call her name, so she got off her bike. She started skipping towards him.
The Prediction:
I predict that she is going to keep on riding.
The Reality:
The child stopped to rest and drink water.
The Why:
Maybe she stopped because she was thirsty and her body felt tired after biking so much. But I also think she stopped because her father/grandfather called her. Sometimes we stop doing what we love because someone we care about asks us to.
What I Learned:
I learned that even when we have a lot of energy, we all have a "limit." Our bodies tell us when to stop, even if our minds want to keep going. It is like a rule that nature gives us so we don't get hurt.
New Question I Still Have:
Why did she stop right then and not one minute later? How does our brain know exactly when we have had "enough"?

What I Think:
Well, the actual answer is sometimes. Why? Because if you are lying to protect yourself that's okay. But if you are lying like this: I took my sister's piece of candy. But instead of telling her, I say ," I didn't do it."
That is not okay. This is lying just to get the candy. But what if other people do something worse? What if they stole $10,000? That would be horrible! If other people do this, and they don't get caught, the world would be a bad place. This is why we have to tell the truth.
Example From My Life:
One time my sister told my mom that I did something bad to her. But I actually didn't do it. So I got in trouble for not even doing anything wrong. This will happen if she lies.
What I Learned:
What I learned was that lying about things like stealing candy will always end badly for yourself or other people. I also learned to try to not lie.
New Question I Still Have:
Why do people even lie? They know that it's bad, but they still do it. Why do they still do it? Why?!?!?!?!

What I Think:
Fairness is like if your friend gives our candy to you and another person, and they only have 10 of them. They have to pass them out equally to make it fair. If they pass out 7 to the other person, and 3 to you, that won't be fair becausu they have more than you. If you want to make things fair, you have to do it equally.
Example From My Life:
One time I was going home from school, our mom carried my sister's backpack for her. And I still had to carry my own backpack! So unfair!!!
What I Learned:
What I learned was that even though we might want fairness, everything can't be fair. It's not possible.
New Question I Still Have:
Some people say "Nothing's fair,". I know that. But a bunch of experiences I had experianced before like the one I wrote, can be fairer. They have the choice. But they don't do that. Why?

What I Think:
I think we need rules because a world without rules would be terrifying and confusing. It would be like that because theives could claim houses that don't belong to them and they won't get in trouble, and people would just go crazy! This is why we need rules.
Example From My Life:
This is an example that I had experienced in my life before:
I was playing four-square with some people and recess was almost over so somebody yelled "No rules!!!" and we went crazy with the ball. I left early because I couldn't stand it and it also wasn't fun.
What I Learned:
What I learned from thet experience was that even though rules aren't fun, we need them so we won't go crazy and not have fun even more.
New Question I Still Have:
Why do rules make everything not fun? I mean, they help us, but they make everything boring. Why?
