What is the difference between a 2D, 3D, 4D, and 5D Ultrasound?
2D Ultrasound is a 2-dimensional image of your baby in the womb. 2D is the traditional black and white ultrasound that you are used to seeing at your doctor appointments.
3D Ultrasound is a 3-dimensional image of your baby in the womb. It is a realistic image of your baby.
4D Ultrasound is a live video of your baby in the womb in 3D.
5D Ultrasound is 4D ultrasound with high definition. It is the newest and most advanced ultrasound imaging there is. It is commonly known as HD Live and has superior resolution. It is a more realistic 3D/4D ultrasound image. This type of ultrasound offers more of a natural "skin tone" appearance.
When is the best time to get a 4D/5D ultrasound?
The best time is between 28-35 weeks of pregnancy. My favorite time is between 30-32 weeks. Before 27 weeks your baby is smaller and doesn't have the full face features yet. After 35 weeks your baby gets too big to see it's full face in the ultrasound. If your baby is measuring big, don't wait till 35 weeks.
What should I do to prepare for my ultrasound appointment?
Drink LOTS and LOTS of WATER!!! Not just the day of your appointment. Drink at least 6 bottles of water everyday for 5-7 days before your appointment. If you don't drink a lot of water regularly I recommend doing it for 2 weeks before your appointment. The more water you drink the more fluids around your baby and the more clear your ultrasound images will be! (if you don't like drinking water drink Gatorade)
If you are wearing a dress to your appointment I recommend wearing shorts underneath.
Please sign the consent forms that are sent to your email before arriving to your appointment to save time.
How many people can I bring to my appointment?
We do not limit the amount of people you bring, however 12 adults can fit comfortably. We can always bring in a few more chairs if needed.
What if we can't see the baby's face during the ultrasound?
This does not happen often, but when it does I will invite you back in a week or two for no additional charge.
What forms of payment to you accept?
We use Square which allows for credit, apple pay, and google pay. We also accept cash.
How do I make an appointment?
The best way to schedule your appointment is on the website. Click "Book Now" from the home page. You can call us at (239) 347-8993. I can't answer the phone during ultrasound sessions. Please leave a message and I will call you back as soon as possible.
What happens if you see something bad on the ultrasound?
We do not have doctors here. I am not a doctor and cannot diagnose you or your baby. We are strictly just for fun. I am not looking for problems. However, I will call your doctor and let them know of any significant findings if we see it.
