Meet the Author 

Hi, I’m Kayla Lusane—and I’ve been the little sister all my life! 

Growing up as the youngest of three meant I had to get very creative to be heard. Whether it was telling dramatic stories at the dinner table or acting out hilarious moments from my day, I quickly discovered that storytelling was my superpower.

Now, as an elementary school teacher, I get to share stories with curious, creative kids every single day. It’s one of my favorite parts of the job—and it’s what inspired me to finally tell my story. Being a Children's Book Author has always been a dream of mine.

This series brings my childhood memories to life from the little sister’s perspective—the funny, imaginative, and sometimes wildly exaggerated side that often gets overlooked. My hope is that kids everywhere—especially the youngest ones—see how powerful their voices and stories really are.

Because being the little sister doesn’t mean you’re too small to make a big impact.
