Little Rugrats Woodville believes in being welcoming with an open door policy, ensuring the community, families, teachers and children have a sense of belonging, and providing a safe and caring environment.
All children are nurtured and encouraged to be independent learners with and alongside others by engaging in experiences that have meaning for them.
With teachers actively responding to the children’s strengths, interests, abilities and needs, and at times providing them with additional support in relation to learning, behaviour, development or communication.

Currently we only have limited spaces for children both under and over 2 years old
Our opening hours are currently 7:30am-4pm. However, if there is enough demand we are able to stay open later.
Under 3 Years Old
Children who start in the Koru Room (room for under 2s so starting under 2 years old) receive 20 free hours per week. These free hours continue until they turn 3, at which point they become eligible for the government-funded 20 free ECE hours plus our additional 10 free hours per week.***
Children aged 2–3 years who start at age 2 or older will be charged $6.50 per hour, until they turn 3, at which point they become eligible for the government-funded 20 free ECE hours plus our additional 10 free hours per week
Aged 3 and Over
Children aged 3 to 5 years are eligible for the government funded 20 free ECE hours per week, up to 6 hours daily. Additionally, we offer an extra 10 free hours per week, also capped at 6 hours per day, allowing access to a total of 30 hours per week at no charge.
Additional Hours
Any care beyond the above or exceeding 6 hours in a single day, will be charged at $6.50 per hour.
Guidelines for the 20 free hours for under 3 year olds:
Daily maximum: Only 6 hours per day can be claimed as part of the free hours; any care beyond this is charged at $6.50 per hour.
Minimum attendance: Children must attend at least 2 days per week and for no less than 6 hours per day. Preferred daily hours are 9:00 AM–3:00 PM, 8:30 AM–2:30 PM, or 8:45 AM–2:45 PM.
Eligibility: Only children who start in the Koru Room (under 2s) qualify for the 20 free hours, which can be carried through until they turn 3 and transition to the 30 free hours.
Non-eligibility: Children who start in the Pūkeko Room (over 2s) at age 2 or older are not eligible for the 20 free hours.
