Hi, I'm Claire!
I believe children are naturally curious, capable explorers, and that some of the best learning happens when we give them time, space, and freedom to discover. Childhood should be filled with wonder, adventure, and plenty of time to explore the world outside.
With a B.A. in Psychology from Emory University and more than 25 years of experience working with children, I've spent my career creating meaningful experiences that support children's growth through play and helping children grow, connect, and make sense of the world around them.
I've been a Tinkergarten Leader since 2018, am currently work as a forest school teacher, and have homeschooled my own children for the past six years. These experiences have deepened my belief in the power of child-led, nature-based learning.
Little Muddy Fingers brings all of those passions together: nature, play, child development, and curiosity. My goal isn't simply to lead children through activities or teach them about nature. I want to create space for them to experience it, wonder about it, and build the confidence to explore it for themselves, while also helping caregivers better understand how children learn through play and why it matters.
