A nurturing in-home childcare program serving ages 2–6 years. Since our program is geared towards younger children very limited spots are available for those over age 6.

At Little Leaves Daycare, children grow and learn in a warm, cozy setting designed to feel like family. Our program is:

🎨 Includes a Monthly Craft Box Subscription (For those enrolled part- or full-time. Alternative crafts may be offered to Drop-In Care children)
Children build confidence, creativity, and strong social skills through meaningful play and guided activities.
🧸Children are encouraged to help with clean up time. Each child who is enrolled part or full time is assigned their own sticker collection book upon enrollment.
🍽️ All meals and snacks are provided and kept dye free. Organic as much as possible.

🕒 Hours Among the Trees
Friday – Monday
⏰ 5:45 AM – 6:00 PM
Closed Tuesday – Thursday
Children must be awake at drop-off. Children will be awake at pickup. Parents are encouraged to give a quick goodbye at drop-off; this makes it easier for children who struggle with drop-off, as when parents stay longer, it typically makes it harder once their parent does leave. Provider is not responsible for unbuckling or buckling children.

Erica Younghart. I have completed over 150 ORO hours and have a goal to complete 400 hours by the end of the year. I have been a licensed childcare provider for over 2 years and have over 6 years of experience. Other adults who are sometimes present are also enrolled in the CBR: my husband, James Younghart, and my mother, Julia Johnston.

Tours are available by appointment only and are conducted during non-business hours to avoid interrupting the children’s daily routines.
During your tour you will:

Children are required to attend the tour prior to enrollment. (Part- or Full- time)
This allows:
🍃 A chance to observe comfort level
🍃 A smoother transition into care
🍃 Assurance that our program is a good fit
Enrollment will not be finalized without a completed tour.

🌿Tour for weekend drop- in care is allowed but not required however I still need enrollment filled prior to attending.🌿
🌼 Health & Wellness
To keep our little woodland community healthy:
Children must stay home if they have:
•Lice
• Fever (100.4°+)
• Vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours
• Contagious rash
• Pink eye with discharge
• Persistent cough
• Any contagious illness
Children must be symptom-free for 24 hours without medication before returning.
If illness develops during the day, parents will be contacted for prompt pick-up.

🚼 Potty Training
Assistance with potty training in a patient, encouraging way.
Parents provide:
• Diapers or pull-ups
• Wipes
• Weather-appropriate change of clothing

💤 Nap Time
Rest/nap is at 10:30AM-12:00PM(However this schedule can vary per child’s needs)
For those who do not fall asleep within 30 minutes, quiet activities will be provided.
Little Leaves Daycare provides nap cot with blanket and pillow. (Washed after each use).
📷 Privacy in Our Little Forest
• Photos may be taken for parents. Group photos of children may be taken, notify me if you want zero group photos shared/ your child to not be in these photos.
• Photos of children are never posted publicly or on social media. However, Little Leaves Daycare is not responsible for another parent sharing photos.
• Security cameras are in use for supervision and safety. Recordings remain confidential.

💵 Tuition & Payment
🌿 ERDC accepted (2026 ERDC RFM rates)
🌿Parent must sign billing form by the 15th confirming hours for the month.
🌿 Private pay due on the 1st of each month or paid in 2 payments on the 1st and the 15th of each month.
Payment must be received in full by the 15th of the month to maintain enrollment.

⏰ Late Pick-Up
Pick-up time is 6:00 PM.
Late fee:
$10 every 30 minutes late.
Repeated late pick-ups may result in termination of care.

🌿 Gentle Guidance
We use positive redirection, calm communication, and age-appropriate expectations.
Physical punishment or harsh discipline is never used.
Our goal is to nurture kindness, self-control, and respect in a loving “home away from home.”

Lost or Broken Toys
Please refrain from bringing toys into our program. The space is specifically set up for children of all ages, and the playroom is free of toys that present choking hazard risk. Learning resources activities and crafts are strictly monitored when small items are in use. Little Leaves Daycare is not responsible for lost or broken toys.

Aggressive or Violent Behavior Policy
Little Leaves Daycare LLC is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and respectful environment for all children and the provider. Every child has the right to feel safe while in care.
Physical aggression, intentional harm, or violent behavior toward the provider or other children will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to:
Hitting, kicking, biting, or punching
Throwing objects with intent to harm
Spitting at others
Attempting to cause physical injury
Repeated threatening or intimidating behavior
If a child displays aggressive behavior:
Parents/guardians will be notified the same day.
An incident report will be completed and documented.
A parent conference may be required to discuss the behavior and develop a corrective plan of action.
If aggressive or violent behavior continues after intervention, or if a serious incident occurs that compromises the safety of the provider or other children, Little Leaves Daycare LLC reserves the right to terminate care immediately.
The safety and well-being of all children and the provider will always remain the highest priority.

I understand that aggressive, harmful, or violent behavior is strictly prohibited. This includes behavior directed toward the provider, any enrolled child, and between enrolled siblings. Sibling relationships do not exempt children from behavioral expectations, intervention, or disciplinary action.
I understand that any child who engages in aggressive or violent behavior may be subject to required conferences, behavioral plans, suspension, or termination of care at the sole discretion of Little Leaves Daycare LLC, if safety is compromised.
I acknowledge that the safety and well-being of all children and the provider is the highest priority, and failure to comply with handbook policies may result in termination of care.
I understand that policies may be revised as necessary, and written notice will be provided of any updates.
