Welcome to Little Herons Pre-School the newest setting to open under Haydon Pre-Schools Limited.

Little Herons will be opened it's doors in January and operates from the welcoming environment of Peatmoor Community Primary School. We are delighted to have embarked on this new chapter and are very excited to develop a strong partnership with the school and warmly welcome new families from the community.

We aim to provide children with high quality play opportunities in a safe and stimulating environment, working towards the goals outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

We understand that all children learn and develop in their own way and our staff are highly skilled at supporting children to develop their individual learning, enabling them to reach their full potential.

Our sessions

Full Day

Our full day sessions will be 8:30am -3:00pm Monday - Friday

Half Day Sessions

Our morning sessions will be 8:30am - 11:30am Monday - Friday

Our afternoon sessions will be 12:00pm - 3:00pm Monday - Friday

Fees and Voluntary Charges

Hourly Rates for Unfunded Hours

Families are welcome to purchase additional non funded hours. Our current rates for these hours are as follows :

Current Rate: £6.25 per hour

From September 2026 (2026-2027 Academic Year): £6.50 per hour

Voluntary Charges for Snack

We offer a voluntary snack option providing fresh fruit and a variety of daily snacks. This is charged as a flat rate based on your child's weekly attendance per term:

Cost: £1.00 per hour attended weekly (charged per term)

Example: A child attending 30 hours per week would have a voluntary snack charge of £30.00 per term.

Note on voluntary charge: Parent / carers are able to opt out of paying for voluntary chargeable extras by providing their own in line with our weekly snacks.
