WELCOME TO LITTLE SUNSHINES PRE-SCHOOL

Little Sunshines strives to provide a nurturing environment where children feel valued, respected and safe.

Through the creation of emotional bonds, high quality interactions and good communication we are ableto build caring and trusting relationships with both children and their families.This high standard of care means children develop the confidence and self-esteem to throw themselves 100% into the important job of learning through play. We actively encourage children to challenge themselves, to take risks (within reason of course!) and to practise and learn new skills so they become more independent.

Our environments are inspired by the children. By getting to know the children as individuals we are ableto tailor the activities, resources and experiences we offer them to reflect their interests, their needs andtheir imaginations. By doing our best to see the world through the eyes of the children we provide enablingand exciting environments that offer awe and wonder. This encourages the children to explore andinvestigate the world around them. As part of our child led philosophy, we offer lots of open-ended resources and loose parts so the children are free to be creative and use their imaginations to their full potential.

We promote kindness and tolerance in everything we do. We actively promote experiences that help thechildren to learn about and respect people and cultures that are different to their own and we celebrateand value the things that make us unique. As a result of our commitment, expertise and experience,children with additional needs are well supported, (both within the nursery and by involving externalprofessionals).

Children are precious and their childhood should be cherished. In order to ensure our children are happy,healthy and able to meet their full potential, their safety and wellbeing is always our first priority. Ourteam are highly trained in safeguarding legislation and good practice, and we will always act in a way thatputs the children's needs first.

We recognise and value the important and pivotal role of families in the lives of our children, so we aim to have trusting and open communication with our families. Our holistic approach to both the children and their families encourages the children to thrive and meet their full potential.
