The Silver Award is the second-highest award a Girl Scout can earn. To earn this award, we are creating a project focused on improving childhood literacy. Our project provides literacy kits that include art supplies such as crayons, markers, and colored pencils, along with creative writing prompts. By combining art and literature, these kits encourage children to explore reading and writing in a fun and engaging way. Our goal is to help children build confidence in their literacy skills while showing them that reading can be enjoyable. Through these kits, we hope to create a lasting impact by inspiring a love of reading and creativity that will stay with children long after they receive them.
