Greeting peeps. Before the next 'main' projects get started, I've had a wee bit of fun with some little armour kits. This time, Revell's re-pops of the classic Matchbox 1/76 Sd.Kfz.251/1 Ausf.B and Krupp Protze (Kfz.70) with 3,7-cm-Pak. They may be small, but by 'eck they were fun.

But now time for some wingy things to get started.........

In 2021, I would like to incorporate the practice of doing quickies - quick studies on paper. You can read here about the oil and cold wax class I took, in which we did four quick, small, studies each day before diving into the work. I won't do it every day, but I'll try to do a set of quickies a few times a week.

To count as quickies, you are not allowed to agonize over them. Think of them as your warm-up exercises, or your sketchbook, not as pieces you'd show to someone else. They are your private playground, for your benefit as an artist.

I was on pinterest and I put a search in for quinoa. Your delicious quinou burgers came up, we made them Fri night and last night lol, they were that good. So now I am perusing your blog and finding a million recipes I want to make! These are next on my list. BTW your quinoa recipe went viral in my little world lol, so many people making it, reposting, etc.

I purchased 2 of these and they are in their 4th spring. The last 3 summers after planting they were in a dappled area, but in the middle of summer, they just kind of crashed and burned. I was sure they had died, only to have them reappear the next year looking the same. So I would think, well--maybe this is their year.. Even when they have gotten leaves, they haven't been strong and honestly looked better when I brought them home 4 springs ago from the garden center, and not a centimeter bigger. But regardless, they have hung on for dear life (a real bonus considering--lol), so I have moved them this spring to a sunnier place in my garden, and already they look tons better. When I dug them out of their original home, the roots had not spread at all. There was zero shock when I put them in the ground even though they had begun to leaf out. Already, I think they are more hopeful. I amended the soil, gave them a little spring fertilizer, and I am hoping their temper tantrum is over. Anyhow, bonus points for not dying even when unhappy. Can't wait to see if this is the year for vigor. :)

Put the frozen shrimp in one layer in a small frying pan. Sprinkle with salt and sake. Heat up the pan with a lid on, and let steam-cook for about 2 minutes. Turn over and cook another minute or so until cooked through. Add ketchup and chili paste, and mix. Let cool before packing into bento box. Optionally sprinkle with a little chopped green onion.

Roughly chop up the frozen shrimp into small pieces (you could also use tiny frozen shrimp here). Combine with the green onion, salt, paprika and furikake. Add the flour and cornstarch and add just a little water so that everything is coated.

So, let me show you how I've put this oh so little power house to use. I wouldn't consider myself a super huge glitter use, but I do enjoy a sparkle here and there. The Quickie Glue Pen allows for some intricate detail that you wouldn't be able to create otherwise.

On the flip side, this recipe leans more in the direction of I-have-a-package-of-ramen-and-some-vegetables-can-we-make-lunch practical. Sort of healthy and fast and a little nostalgic (packaged ramen!) but also fresh-ly delicious with a ton of flavor.

To make crunchy golden panko crumbs, heat a few tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the panko, stir for one minute or less, or until golden brown. Remove and place on paper towels to drain. You can also toss the panko with a little oil and toast them in the oven to get them golden and crispy.

I did the Brazilian collard dish and it was good though the collards are a little tough. I think next time I might add a little water and braise them for a few minutes. I like the idea of using them in a fried rice Asian style.

I think the possibilities are really endless. Instead of using recycled napkins like I have here, you could paint the pendant, cover with pretty tissue paper or scrapbooking paper. I think this last option would be lovely if the background were a pretty coordinating scrapbooking paper to add a little punch.

If you are just making a square out of a rectangle, like in the Crop An Image Quickie, you need only to open the dialog and find the lesser length and use that as described. Since this is very little information, and definately not enough to fill the space between the menu thumbnail and the dialog screenshot in my layout, I thought I would run through some calculator exercises that might help you to meet your image needs.

A little bit of detail if you are interested. Each pixel or point when in this mode consists of three different components. R->Red, G->Green, B->Blue. Each of these in turn can have an intensity value of 0-255. So, at every pixel, what you see is an additive combination of these three components. All these combinations result in a way to represent millions of colours.

LT is four and his meltdowns are nothing new. Should I look the other way and ignore the fact that this kid is growing into a right proper, well, little terror? Should I continue to bite my tongue or can I please ask this kid to exercise some manners?

LUCI prevents tips, collisions, and falls before they happen, so we can see a curb for what it really is: just a harmless little piece of concrete separating the sidewalk from the street. Available as an optional add-on for SEDEO PRO seating.

It got a little heated as we discussed his car payment, so we each took the floor to share how we see it (...it's amazing the way each of our minds explains this expense differently).

But after hearing him out I was really able to see that his business income-commissions pays for this, and that we really needed a safe car that drives to Denver for our soccer commute + road trips since my little electric car doesn't go far.

This will be a quick little summary of what the JVM is doing when we first run a program. If you don't understand what's going on, don't worry, I will go into more detail later in the post. The JVM starts up by loading an initial class by using a ClassLoader. The JVM then links the initial class and invokes the public static void main(String [] args) method.

I know the above statement was a little confusing but lets break things down a little. When it comes to running Java code, there are 3 main steps that the JVM must partake in:

1) loading

2) linking

3) initialization

There isn't much info about the Rutan Quickie out there; maybe that's why no Quickie has appeared in the Download Manager until now. (I've looked over the time I've been with the .org community.) As you notice these are both side-by-side 2-place planes. If someone wants an 18 HP Onan-equipped single-seater, I'll build it. I didn't think anyone would like a plane with a climb rate of 100feet/min.; And, the original foils aren't available to me. (Maybe with this default foil, the 18HP Quickie might have a little better climb-rate.) The GUxxx foil had the nasty habit of losing lift if it got a bit of precipitation or bugs on it; If I could get the other foil, I'd like to try it. I threw everything in the airfoils folder at this project; Wouldn't you know it?... The best default foil, for these planes, is at the bottom of the list.

Flying the TailDragger takes more patience, since it's only rated at 60HP (64HP VW powered). The Tri-gear Quickie has 98HP (100HP Conti). The stall warning horn is still at the 10degree default setting - there's a lot of Angle-of-attack left before you get into trouble. When landing, If you feed a little power as you 'mush' in at 65kts, you can control your descent rate for a nice, soft landing. The ability to do this is in the Airfoil these planes are equipped with - the originals required a much higher take-off and landing speed.

Yeah, well 1600 is my working resolution everything below is a pain and in 1920 the fonts get too small IMO

However without the huge resolution all the nice little boxes with their nice bluish softshadows would get lost

Quick Quickie Overview

The Quickie uses one directly heated 3S4 pentode perchannel, wired as a triode. The difference between indirectly heated anddirectly heated tubes is that directly heated tubes pass current through thecathode of the tube to heat it, where indirectly heated tubes have filamentsused to heat an electrically isolated cathode. Directly heated requireindividual heater supplies for each tube; these must carefully be designed asthe heater supply will also define some of the amplification characteristics.Directly heated tubes tend to be more microphonic than their indirectly heatedcousins as well, and indirectly heated tubes are a little easier to design withas the cathode can be managed independently of the heater supply making noisemanagement a fair bit easier. Why then would anyone want to use directly heatedtriodes? Simply put, they're believed to sound better. The vast majority ofSingle-Ended Triode (SET) amplifiers are based around a handful of tubes (300B, 2A3,45, 845), all of which are directly heated. The battery power means that havingthe individual, low noise supplies for the heaters is no problem, which is partof why the Quickie "works".

The 3S4 is a pentode, wired as a triode in the Quickie and hasa center-tapped cathode which runs with the two sections in parallel off a 1.4V100mA supply, they can also be run series with 2.8V and 50mA. D cells give 1.5Vwhen fresh which is a little hot but forgivable, and as they drain the voltagefalls in a fairly linear fashion. You'll want to monitor voltage from the Dcells (one per channel- dual mono heater supplies are necessitated by DHToperation); I have taken to checking it upon power up each time I listen. Thehigh voltage.. (choke... higher) voltagesupply comes from a quad of 9V batteries wired in series for 36V with alkalinebatteries. Bottlehead indicates about 100 hours of battery life, I foundthat by about 25 to 30 hours of playback I had dropped the Duracell D cells toaround 1.25V, which I deemed to be low enough to swap in fresh, but this may beon the low end of cell reliability, some other brands have seemed to fare betterbut I haven't tracked their timing as closely. Shutting down overnight willoften recover a little voltage, too. During that same stretch the 9V DuracellProcell alkaline batteries I initially used dropped to about 8.35V per; notsurprisingly they retain a longer life than the D cells which draw several timesmore power (100mA per cell @ 1.5V compared to about 4mA at 9V). Longevity willvary with brand and type, so your drain rate may be slower, or faster. Do buyyour batteries online and Google the specific types you'll be getting, as you wanthigh mAh (milliamp hours) batteries from a reputable company (that's not onlyDuracell or Energizer btw). Batteries are a high markup item at most retailoutlets. e24fc04721
