Literary Minute

Literary Minute ("the App") is developed by Steven Hobé, operating as happydeveloper.ca ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.
We have designed Literary Minute with privacy as a priority. The App is built to run entirely on your device, with no account creation, no user tracking, and no data sent to our servers.
1. Information We Collect
Literary Minute does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. All data the App uses is stored locally on your device only, and includes:
· Your reading preferences and settings (e.g. reminder time, speaking rate)
· The date you first installed the App (used to determine your free trial window)
· Which stories you have bookmarked
· Whether you have completed the onboarding flow
· Your in-app purchase status
This data never leaves your device. We do not have access to it.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect:
· Your name, email address, or any contact information
· Your location
· Device identifiers or advertising identifiers
· Usage analytics or crash reports
· Any information about how you use the App
Literary Minute contains no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising networks, and no social media tracking.
3. In-App Purchases
Literary Minute offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock the full App, processed through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive, process, or store any payment card information. Apple's privacy policy governs any data collected during the purchase process and can be found at apple.com/legal/privacy.
4. Notifications
If you enable daily reminders, Literary Minute schedules notifications locally on your device using iOS's built-in notification system. These notifications are generated and delivered on-device only. No notification data is sent to or processed by any external server.
5. Feedback and Story Ideas
If you contact us by email at happydeveloper.ca@gmail.com — for example to send feedback or submit a story idea — we will receive your email address and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to your enquiry. We do not share it with any third party, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
6. Children's Privacy
Literary Minute does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. As described above, the App does not collect personal information from any user, regardless of age.
7. Third-Party Services
Literary Minute does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, or APIs during normal operation. The App's content (365 pre-written stories, including their narrated audio and artwork) is bundled within the App itself and does not require an internet connection to use.
8. Data Security
Because we do not collect or transmit your personal data, there is no external database to secure. All data stored locally on your device is protected by iOS's built-in security and encryption features.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this document. The current version of this policy is always available at the URL published on the App Store listing for Literary Minute.
