Literacy Leaders NH was started in 2022 by Liz Cannon as part of the 2022-23 Christa McAuliffe Sabbatical, Liz has been a Literacy Specialist in NH for the last 14 years and is passionate about the right of every child to learn to read and about supporting educators and partents in this process. She spent her sabbatical year delving into reading research and its implications for teaching practices and supporting NH educators with this. The Maya Angelou quote, "Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better," is a driving force behind the work that LLNH does. This site was started as part of Liz's Sabbatical work, but it continues in order to provide a collection of research for educators and parents, professional development resources and networking, and teaching resources. Literacy Leaders NH also provides the following services:

Coaching in schools that are in the process of adopting teaching strategies rooted in the Science of Reading
