Literacy Solutions of Nevada is a non-profit organization that originated in Douglas County. We have recently expanded our reach in addition to our previous goals to include early literacy awareness. We would like to increase an awareness of the benefits of reading to children to the parents of newly born infants. While remain committed to developing a support system for the dyslexic community. We want to additionally raise awareness of the benefits of early literacy, and continue to provide appropriate research-based interventions, as well as offering scholarships to dyslexic students graduating from high school.

One way we plan to reach new parents is to provide each parent(s) of a newborn with a “Book Bundle”, which is simply a bag of books that include a brochure on the benefits of reading to your newborn as well as the indicators and early signs of Dyslexia. This way if their child begins showing the signs of Dyslexia they know who to reach out to for help!
