LiteHouse is a self-sustaining plant system designed to make urban farming efficient, automated, and space-friendly. Using sensors and automated controls, LiteHouse monitors plant health and adjusts conditions in real-time to ensure optimal growth. Here’s how each component works together:
Sensors continuously measure soil moisture, temperature, humidity, and light intensity to assess plant needs in real time
When the soil is dry, the water pump activates to irrigate the plant. If the system detects prolonged light exposure or high humidity, it opens the roof for ventilation using a motorized mechanism
An LCD display shows real-time updates (watering status, temperature, humidity, and soil moisture). Users can also manually control the roof using a button for convenience
The UV LEDs turn on daily to supplement natural light, ensuring the plant receives enough light for healthy growth, regardless of external conditions
