Double Entry Journals in Use -
How to Fit into a Social Studies Classroom:
Double entry journals are great for students relating to a text. They can choose, or the teacher can choose items for the first column and then students have the ability to use their critical thinking skills to relate to the events or items. This helps them create a personal connection to the content which can cement topics or ideas that they might have cared less about or not connected to at all without the double entry.
