All Secondary Reading Levels; Based on how the concept circle is used in the class, students at lower reading levels or ELs might have a few pre-filled circles or areas. Like the central concept (center) left blank, 2nd ring filled in, and 3rd ring left open for note taking compared to all blank for other students.

How to Fit into a Social Studies Classroom:
This can be used in a social studies classroom as a formative assessment after a larger text has been read or after a text set. After a smaller text set or part way through a lesson using a set of primary documents, one could use concept circles as a formative assessment of comprehension of the larger pictures of how the texts are relating and how it relates to our lesson.
