Registered music teachers have been governed by an Act of the Legislature since 1938. To become a registered music teacher, application must be made to the SRMTA. The application goes before an examining board to ensure that the requirements of membership have been met. Testimonials:
"It was a pleasure to take flute lessons from Joanna to complement my highschool band practice. Her thoughtfulness and gentle approach helped me stay committed and engaged. These lessons helped me excel as 'first flute' in the band and to take on additional projects such as accompanying school musicals. It was a great experience all around!" ~ Lindsay Herman, B.A., M.A.
"I had the opportunity to intern with Joanna, and it was a genuinely valuable experience. Her thoughtful and creative approach to teaching gave me insight into how to engage students in meaningful ways. Joanna created an environment where I felt supported and encouraged to grow, and the experience helped shape the way I teach today." ~ Will Kaufhold, B.Mus.Mus.Ed., B.Ed.
