Udayan Ghosh is currently working as a “Library Professional Assistant” at Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. Before he worked as a "Digital Library Associate" at the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode - IIMK. Before joining the IIM Kozhikode, he worked as Project Associate- Library Science at the Information and Library Network Centre (INFLIBNET), Gandhinagar [Autonomous Inter-University Centre of the University Grants Commission (Ministry of Education, GoI)]. He also works as a Library Assistant - Cataloger at Kashipur Michael Madhusudan Mahavidyalaya, Purulia, West Bengal.  Earlier he had served as Lecturer (Guest) and Question (Paper) Setter at Dept. of Computer Science, Midnapore  College (Autonomous), Midnapore, West Bengal. He works as a Freelancer on Content Writing and also Technical Writing at many privileged universities in the US, UK, and Australia. 

He received his Master's Degree in Library and Information Science (M.LIB.I.SC) from the Vidyasagar University, West Bengal and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science (CS) from Midnapore College (Autonomous) under Vidyasagar University, West Bengal. He has qualified first rank holder (Gold Medalist) in B.LIB.I.SC. Professional degree in the subject "Library and Information Science" in 2021. He has hands-on experience in Library Classification, Cataloguing, MARC-21, and advanced knowledge in ICT, Library Automation Software, and Digital Library and Services and also experienced in Academic Survey and Research methodology and standard experience in E-publishing tools in government (academic) organizations in India. He has published a paper entitled: "Open access resources for the visually challenged - An opportunity to serve the disadvantaged community through the public libraries" in the book title – “Services of Public Libraries in India: Trends and Innovations“(ISBN 978-93-90951-56-7) and presented papers in different National Seminars. His areas of interest are Digital Libraries, Library Automation, Metadata Harvesting, ICT applications in LIS fields and Web development.
