LISFF is an annual celebration of short cinema organized by a small group of people yearning for visual stimulation. Each year we receive hundreds of submissions from all over the world and present the best as Official Selections. We offer (cash) awards for the Best Actor, Best Comedy, Animation, Documentary, Music Video, Drama, Horror, and, NEW for 2020, Science Fiction --Best Home Grown and a Grand Prize.
We are fans of film. We love the stories, we love the people, we love the festival. We collect and share eclectic cinematic experiences of the world in an intimate venue, downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania --a backdrop of charming colonial brick buildings bursting with art, surrounded by miles of farmland and only a short distance from NYC, Philadelphia, and the Baltimore-Washington area.
The 2020 film festival will occur from 23-25, 2020 ONLINE from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA. We are screening short films from all over the world. Prepare to be amazed.

MARKETINGHistory
In 2008, the Rumschpringe Short Film Festival premiered at Penn Cinema in Lititz, PA. Soon after, it became the Rumschpringe International Short Film Festival until 2015 when the name changed to the Lancaster International Short Film Festival.
Since 2009, the film festival has occurred in downtown Lancaster at the Stahr Performing Arts Center (2009, 2010, 2011), Tellus360 (2011), Franklin & Marshall College's The Green Room Theater (2014), The Ware Center | Milllersville University Downtown Campus (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015), Zoetropolis Film & Art (2014, 2015), The Candy Factory (2017 & 2018) and the Lancaster Elks Lodge #134 (2015. 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019). For 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival will be held online.
