Lisa Windsteiger

Current position

I am Associate Professor (Tenured) at the University of Salzburg and Research Director at the ifo Institute, Deputy Director of the Salzburg Centre of European Union Studies (SCEUS), Associate Editor of the Journal of Economic Inequality, and a CESifo Research Affiliate.

My research focuses on behavioral economics, public economics and political economy. I have worked in particular on (perceptions of) inequality, socio-economic segregation and demand for redistribution, and I use survey experiments to analyse which factors affect public support for (economic) policies.
