2. Fees and Payments

• All design fees will be outlined in a written proposal before project commencement

• A deposit is typically required to initiate services, with remaining payments scheduled throughout the project

• Additional costs for furnishings, materials, or contractor services will be communicated in advance

3. Intellectual Property

• All design concepts, drawings, and specifications remain the intellectual property of Lisa Merkle Design until full payment is received

• Clients receive a license to use the designs for their personal residential purposes only

• Unauthorized reproduction or commercial use of our designs is prohibited

4. Project Timeline

• Estimated project timelines are provided in good faith but may change due to:

  • Client decision delays

  • Product availability

  • Contractor schedules

  • Unforeseen circumstances

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

• Deposits are non-refundable once design work has commenced

• For cancellations after project initiation, clients are responsible for:

  • All work completed to date

  • Any non-cancelable orders placed on their behalf

• Termination fees may apply based on project stage

6. Liability Limitations

• While we exercise professional care, we cannot guarantee:

  • Exact product matches to samples or renderings

  • Contractor workmanship quality

  • Delivery timelines from third-party vendors

• Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the total fees paid for services

7. Website Use Terms

• Website content is for informational purposes only

• Unauthorized use of site content, including images and text, is prohibited

• We reserve the right to modify website content without notice

8. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes shall first attempt resolution through good faith negotiations. If unresolved, disputes will be settled through mediation in Los Angeles County, California.
