Lisa Susanna Stephan
I am a PhD candidate at the University of Amsterdam and Tinbergen Institute. Supervised by Frank Kleibergen and Marco van der Leij, I am developing and applying new econometric methods to estimate social network models.
In my job market paper, titled, "Maximum Likelihood Estimation of Diffusion and Adoption with Two Time Periods" I estimate a series of nested models by maximum likelihood estimation and test which channels impact the spread of knowledge about and participation in a micro-finance initiative.
In my other dissertation projects, I apply the generalized method of moments (GMM) to network interaction models or carry out approximate likelihood estimation.
