How to reach Pavia

How to reach Milan

Milan has three airports: Milano Linate (LIN), Milano Malpensa (MXP) and Bergamo Orio al Serio (BGY).

Milan can normally be reached also with a direct train from Paris, which is currently partially replaced by a bus. Other options by train include going through Geneva or Zurich.

How to reach Pavia from Milan

Pavia can be reached from all three airports. The closest one is Linate (approx. 1h10 by public transport, 50 min by taxi), the other two are further away (around 2 hours by public transport).

Suburban trains reach Pavia from a number of underground stations in Milan every 30 minutes or less; some trains also go through the main train stations.

All schedules are on Google Maps; see also https://www.trenitalia.com/ and https://www.trenord.it/en/ for trains, https://www.atm.it for public transport in Milan, and https://pavia.autoguidovie.it/ for public transport in Pavia.
