Linville Edom Ruritan Club has served the Linville Edom Community since 1936.  Our club is made up of members of the community who want to give service to their community.  We do this by working fund raising events to raise money and then distributing it to help others and enhance the the quality of life through fellowship, goodwill, and community service.  Our club is proud to be an organization of members working together on committees and various activities to create harmony in our communities and make it an ideal place to live.  We take pride in the community service  we bring to the Linville Edom communities through five service areas:

Environment

Community Engagement

Social Development

Public Service

Citizenship and Patriotism

Growth, Development, & Recognition

In past years, we have supported groups that offer services to the communities, such as Hunters for the Hungry, Camp Still Meadows, Rescue & Fire Squads, Weekly Religion Education,  K-9 For Warriors, and Refugee Resettlement Program.  We partnered with the Linville Edom Elementary School in food baskets/cards for families, dictionaries and thesauruses to  3rd and 5th graders, t-shirts for the 5th graders, and honored teachers for Teacher Appreciation Month.  We provided scholarships for Seniors at Broadway High School, supported Prom Night, and donated to various clubs, such as the FFA, DECA, FBLA, and 4-H.

We have also helped individuals who were sick or needed assistance with rent, bills, or travel needs.

If you are interested in becoming a Ruritan or finding out more information about our club, please contact us by emailing: linvilleedomruritans@gmail.com or calling Jeff Roadcap at 540-908-0010.

Everyone is welcomed to join us for a meeting to see what we do for our community.   Club meetings are the first Thursday of every month at 6:30pm at our meeting hall - 3752 Linville Edom Road, Linville, VA  22834, where we enjoy fellowship, a meal, a guest speaker and a short business meeting.  This is a chance for you and your family to work and socialize in helping our community.  When you participate, you will enjoy fellowship of neighbors with similar goals.  Our dues are $60/year for Regular & Associate members, which covers your National and District dues, along with several programs.  Students are paid by the club.

Board of Directors meet the last Thursday of every month at 5:00pm.
