Lintel Tech ("we," "us" or "our") takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") explains our data protection practices and describes the types of information we may process when you install and/or use any of our software applications for mobile devices (each, an "App", "our App") and how we and some of the companies we cooperate with process that information.
When we refer to personal data (or personal information) we mean any information of any kind relating to a natural person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to such data — that is, a natural person who can be identified directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identification number or to one or more factors specific to his or her physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural or social status.
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of, and others who access, our Apps ("Users").
For the purposes of the GDPR, we are the data controller, unless otherwise stated.
This Privacy Policy is written to cover all Lintel Tech apps. Not every App includes every feature described below — a provision only applies to you if the specific App you are using actually offers that feature. Where the App you are using has its own in-app privacy notice or settings screen that is more specific than a provision here, that in-app notice controls for that App.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING PRIVACY POLICY CAREFULLY. WHEN YOU USE AN APP YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS.
There are two general categories of information we can process.
We process the following personal information about you when you use an App. This information is necessary for the adequate performance of the contract between you and us. Without such information it may be impossible to provide complete functionality of the App and perform the requested services.
Authorization and/or Account Information. If the App you are using requires an account, we require your email to sign up. Some of our Apps do not use accounts at all — for those Apps, you are not asked for your name, email address or phone number, and the account-related provisions of this Policy do not apply.
Other information directly related to your use of the App, such as photos, documents, audio recordings, notes, or other content you create or upload in the App. Upon your consent we may also access your camera, microphone, or camera roll.
Content you save inside the App. Many of our Apps let you build a personal collection of saved items (for example, saved records with an optional note, an optional photo, and — only if you opt in — a location). Depending on the App, this data may be stored only locally in the App's private storage on your device (not uploaded to us) rather than on our servers; where that is the case, we describe it as on-device storage below.
Some of our Apps are designed to keep certain data on your device rather than upload it:
Information
When it is created
Recordings you make in the App (e.g., audio or similar)
Some Apps analyze this content on your device using a built-in recognition model, without sending it to any server. It is kept only if you choose to save it.
Files you import
A local copy is made so it can be analysed on your device.
Your saved collection
Items you save (name/label, an optional personal note, an optional photo, and — only if you opt in to "save current location" — a location and place name).
Alarms / reminders
The time, label, repeat days and chosen sound of each alarm, if the App offers this feature.
App usage settings
Whether you finished onboarding, how many times the App was opened, and how many free uses of limited features you have used.
Backups. Depending on the App, this on-device data may be excluded from cloud backup and device-to-device transfer, meaning it is not automatically copied to a cloud account or to a new phone. Check the specific App's settings for details.
Deleting it. You can delete individual items inside the App, or uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data. Files that are analysed but not explicitly saved are typically removed automatically the next time the App starts.
Depending on the App, the following features may send information to our servers:
Photo- or content-based identification. If the App offers a feature to identify something from a photo (e.g., a species, object, or item), the photo you capture is uploaded to our server so the item can be identified. Typically only the image itself is sent — not your location, notes, or device identifiers. The photo is generally deleted from our server immediately after the identification result is returned; we do not intend to keep a copy.
Sharing / public pages. If the App offers a feature to share saved content (for example, a map of saved locations) and you actively choose to share it and confirm any in-app warning, selected non-sensitive fields (such as an identifier, name, and coordinates, if applicable) may be uploaded to our server and published as a public web page that anyone with the link can view. Notes and photos are typically excluded from what is shared unless the App tells you otherwise. Shared pages are generally retained for a limited period (e.g., around 90 days) and then deleted. To request early removal of a shared page, email us at ceo@linteltech.io.vn with the link; we will remove it within 30 days of your request.
Reference content downloads. To show catalog information, images, or audio, an App may download content from our own servers or from third parties such as Wikipedia. No personal information is typically sent with these requests, though as with any internet connection, these servers can see your device's IP address.
Location, only if you opt in. If an App offers a "save current location" option and you turn it on, the App reads your device location (typically via Google Play services) and may convert it into a place name using a geocoding service. The location is then stored as described in Section II.2. It is only sent off your device if you separately choose to share it (see "Sharing / public pages" above). Our Apps do not track your location in the background unless clearly disclosed in that App.
Maps. If an App includes a map feature, it may download map tiles from a mapping provider such as OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address and the map area being viewed. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy: https://osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.
Purchases and ratings. Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Google Play Billing (or the applicable app store). We do not see your full payment card details; we typically only receive whether you have an active subscription. In-app review prompts are handled by the app store's native review feature. See https://policies.google.com/privacy.
When you use an App, some information about your device and your usage behavior may be processed automatically. This information is generally non-personal, i.e. it does not, on its own, permit direct association with a specific individual, and we may access it only in aggregated form. We process this information on the ground of our legitimate interest in improving our Apps and giving Users the best experience. If we do not access such data we may not be able to provide all requested services and features.
We may use third-party automatic data processing technologies (advertising or analytics tools) to analyze certain information sent by your device or an App. We do not control, supervise, or take responsibility for how such third parties process your personal data by their own means. Where a third party declares itself a controller for GDPR purposes, requests regarding your personal data should be directed to that third party.
Information related to your device. When you use a mobile device to access an App, we (or our third-party partners) may process one or more "device identifiers" — small data structures that uniquely identify your device and enable generalized reporting or personalized content and ads. This can include:
type of mobile device and operating system version;
region information of your device and of your SIM card;
Internet Protocol ("IP") address;
an advertising identifier (e.g., Android Advertising ID) — a string of numbers and letters identifying your device for advertising purposes.
Log file information. Log file information is automatically reported each time you make a request within an App, and may also be provided at install. This can include the time and date you start and stop using the App and how you interact with it. Some Apps may use automated processing, including profiling, to analyze or predict aspects such as your preferences, interests, behavior, or general location.
Cookies and similar technologies. Where applicable (for example, in web pages we host, such as shared public pages), we may use cookies and similar technologies (pixels, web beacons, scripts) to understand usage and provide features. A cookie is a small text file downloaded to your device and sent back to our server on subsequent visits. We use this aggregated information to understand and optimize usage, improve marketing, and provide relevant content. Advertising partners serving ads in our Apps may also use cookies or similar technologies.
Advertising SDKs. Some of our Apps show ads (for example, using the Google Mobile Ads SDK / Google AdMob) to free-tier Users; ads are typically not shown to paid subscribers where a paid tier exists. According to Google, such SDKs automatically collect and share the following with Google for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention:
Data
Details
IP address
May be used to estimate the general location of your device
App interactions
E.g., app launch, taps, and ad or video views
Diagnostic information
E.g., app launch time, hang rate, and energy use
Device identifiers
E.g., advertising ID and app set ID
Where required by law (for example, in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), we request your consent before ads are personalized, and you can change this later in the App's settings. You can reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings (typically Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads). We use your information for the following purposes:
(a) To make our services available. We use information you submit and information processed automatically to provide the requested features and services.
(b) To improve, test and monitor our Apps. We use automatically processed information to understand user behavior and trends, detect outages and technical issues, and to operate, protect, improve, and optimize our Apps.
(c) To provide interest-based advertising or other targeted content, where applicable — using automatically processed information for marketing purposes, including showing ads that may be relevant to you.
(d) To communicate with you — for example, sending notifications relevant to features you use, responding to your support requests, and informing you of changes to our policies or terms.
(e) To prevent fraud and spam, and to enforce the law — including preventing, detecting, and investigating fraud, security breaches, and potentially illegal activity, and enforcing our Terms of Use.
If new purposes for processing your personal data arise, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.
We share your information with third parties only in the ways described in this Privacy Policy. We adhere to the U.S. Digital Advertising Alliance's Self-Regulatory Principles for the Mobile Environment.
We do not rent or sell your personal data. We may share information collected via cookies, log files, device identifiers, or (where you opt in) location data, with third-party providers of automatic data processing technologies used in our Apps. We do not control these third parties' own tracking technologies.
We may share certain information, such as cookie data, with third-party advertising partners so they can deliver advertisements they believe are relevant to you.
We may engage third-party service providers to supply infrastructure needed to deliver and improve our services (for example, hosting, identification/AI services, mapping, analytics, and advertising providers).
Our Apps may link to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party sites or services linked to or from our Apps.
We may disclose your personal information where necessary:
as required by law;
when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of you or others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case you will be notified via email and/or a prominent in-App notice of any change affecting your personal information, along with any choices available to you.
We operate across borders and provide our Apps to Users worldwide. We and our third-party service providers may transfer automatically processed information across borders and from your country or jurisdiction to others.
If you are located in the European Union or another region with data protection laws that differ from those where our servers or partners are located, please note that your information may be transferred to a jurisdiction that does not provide the same level of data protection as your own.
We try to ensure that recipients of personal data provide appropriate protection consistent with applicable law. By using an App, you agree that we may transfer your personal data internationally as described above.
We generally retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the App's functionality and to comply with our legal obligations. If you no longer want us to use information we hold, you may request that we erase it and/or close your account (where applicable).
Some data may be retained longer where necessary to comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax, accounting, audit), maintain security and backups, or prevent fraud or other malicious activity — but never longer than the retention purpose requires.
With respect to the personal data we store and access, you may contact us regarding:
Data Access and Portability — request copies of your personal information held by us.
Change or Correct Data — where you cannot update data yourself in the App, ask us to correct, update, or rectify it.
Data Retention and Deletion — request deletion of all or part of the personal data we hold about you; you may also delete your account (where applicable) at any time. We may need to retain certain data even after account closure where reasonably necessary for legal compliance or a legitimate interest (e.g., fraud prevention, security).
Restriction of Processing — in certain circumstances, ask us to limit how we use your personal information.
We can generally only act on these rights with respect to information that you submitted to us or that we hold directly (as described above). Where information is processed automatically by a third-party provider, please also contact that provider directly using the mechanisms on their own privacy pages; where applicable, you can also manage advertising personalization from the App's settings or your device's ad settings.
We take the security of your personal information seriously and follow generally accepted industry standards to protect it, both in transit and at rest, taking into account the risks involved and the nature of the data. Where feasible, we aim for personal data to be encrypted using appropriate encryption or hashing.
No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If your personal information is affected by a security breach, we will notify you in compliance with applicable law.
If you have questions about the security of our Apps, contact us using the details below.
Our Apps are not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please do not use our Apps or provide any personal information (including your email address) through them. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 18 without verified parental consent, we will delete it as quickly as possible. If you believe we may have information from or about a child under 18, please contact us.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy here (and in other places we consider appropriate) and update the "Last updated" date above. Additional notice of material changes may be provided where appropriate.
