If you want a wired, high-fidelity studio experience with deep bass and isolation for critical listening or gaming, choose Linsoul ZiiGaat Odyssey 1DD+3BA; if you need comfortable headband headphones for big ears that stay secure during workouts without blocking your surroundings, choose Essonio ES-M91S. These two devices serve fundamentally different purposes, one designed for the audiophile in a quiet room and the other built for the active user who needs to hear the world around them.
• Linsoul ZiiGaat Odyssey 1DD+3BA: Offers superior sound separation with a hybrid 4-driver setup (1 dynamic + 3 balanced armatures) but requires a cable and offers no active noise cancellation. Best for stationary listening where audio fidelity is the only priority.
• Essonio ES-M91S: Provides an open-air fit with Bluetooth 6.0 stability and a detachable charging case lid, though it lacks the deep bass isolation of sealed earbuds. Best for runners, gym-goers, and anyone needing all-day comfort without ear fatigue.
The Linsoul ZiiGaat Odyssey is engineered for those who demand precision above all else. It utilizes a complex hybrid configuration that pairs a custom 10mm Topology Driver with three genuine American Knowles balanced armature drivers per side. This isn't just about volume; it is about how the sound is delivered. The dynamic driver handles the low-end with a unique diaphragm made from layers of nano-particle dispersion, creating topographical patterns that disperse sound specifically to increase speed and impact. Meanwhile, the two RAF 32873 drivers handle the midrange, ensuring vocals and instruments remain natural and well-textured, while the RAD 33518 tweeter takes care of the ultra-high frequencies.
This specific design targets the audiophile, the musician, and the serious gamer. If your primary use case involves sitting down to analyze a mix, enjoy a detailed recording, or track footsteps in a competitive game, this unit delivers. The passive noise cancellation inherent in its in-ear design helps block out ambient chatter, allowing you to focus entirely on the audio signal. With a frequency response reaching up to 23 kHz and an impedance of 104 ohms, it requires a decent source to drive properly, making it ideal for users who already have a portable DAC or amplifier, or a dedicated music player.

However, you should skip this product if you plan to move around constantly. It is a wired device using a 3.5 mm jack, which means you are tethered to your source. There is no wireless freedom here. Furthermore, because it relies on physical isolation rather than transparency mode, it will cut you off from your environment completely. If you need to hear traffic while jogging or talk to colleagues in an office without taking something out of your ears, this closed-back design is not the right tool for the job. It is a piece of professional equipment first and a casual accessory second.
The Essonio ES-M91S exists in a completely different lane, designed specifically for people who find traditional earbuds uncomfortable or unsafe. Its "Zero-Pressure Adaptive Ear Clip" uses self-adaptive flexible materials wrapped in skin-friendly soft silicone to rest gently on the outer ear rather than inside the canal. This open-ear architecture means there is zero pressure buildup, which is a game-changer for extended wear. You can wear these for over ten hours straight, even if you are wearing prescription glasses or a helmet, without the pain often associated with deep-insertion buds.
This is the ideal choice for anyone who prioritizes situational awareness. The air conduction technology allows you to listen to podcasts, music, or take calls while remaining fully aware of your surroundings. Whether you are running on a busy street, cycling through traffic, or working in a shared office space, you won't miss a thing. The dual microphones enhance voice pickup for clear hands-free calls, and the Bluetooth 6.0 connection ensures a stable, low-latency link with support for dual-device multipoint pairing. You can switch seamlessly between your phone and laptop without fumbling with buttons.
The trade-off lies in the audio isolation. Because the earbuds do not seal the ear canal, they cannot deliver the same level of bass punch as a closed system, nor can they block out loud background noise like a subway or construction site. However, the optimized acoustic chamber does provide rich, punchy bass that surprises many users given the open design. The battery life is robust, offering six hours on a single charge plus three more from the compact case for a total of 24 hours of playtime. The case itself features a removable magnetic lid, which is a unique detail allowing for easy cleaning or color swapping, adding a layer of personalization usually missing in standard wireless earbuds.
• Best for sound isolation → Linsoul ZiiGaat Odyssey 1DD+3BA, thanks to its sealed in-ear design and passive noise cancellation.
• Best for environmental awareness → Essonio ES-M91S, as the open-ear clip design lets you hear traffic and conversations clearly.
• Best for long-term comfort → Essonio ES-M91S, especially for big ears, since the zero-pressure clip avoids the soreness of deep insertion.
• Best for audio fidelity → Linsoul ZiiGaat Odyssey 1DD+3BA, utilizing four distinct drivers to separate bass, mids, and treble with extreme precision.
• Best for workouts → Essonio ES-M91S, featuring IP55 sweat resistance and a secure hook design that stays put during intense movement.
• Best for travel on public transit → Linsoul ZiiGaat Odyssey 1DD+3BA, as the physical seal blocks out engine hums and crying babies better than any open earbud.
• Best for battery flexibility → Essonio ES-M91S, providing 24 hours total usage and a wireless charging case that fits easily in a pocket.
• Best for wired purists → Linsoul ZiiGaat Odyssey 1DD+3BA, eliminating compression artifacts by connecting directly via a 3.5 mm cable.
I would buy the Essonio ES-M91S for my daily life because I spend most of my time moving, commuting, or working in open environments where safety and comfort are non-negotiable. The ability to wear these for hours without ear fatigue makes them the superior choice for real-world utility. While the Linsoul ZiiGaat Odyssey 1DD+3BA sounds incredible on paper and likely in a controlled setting, the lack of wireless freedom and the isolating nature of the design limit its versatility. For someone looking for comfortable headband headphones for big ears who also wants to stay connected to their environment, the Essonio ES-M91S is the clear winner.
Yes, the Essonio ES-M91S is explicitly designed with a zero-pressure adaptive clip that accommodates larger ear shapes comfortably without causing pain, whereas the Linsoul Odyssey relies on a standard in-ear fit that may be difficult for some with larger anatomy.
While it can work with standard devices due to its sensitivity, the 104-ohm impedance suggests it will perform best when paired with a dedicated amplifier or a high-quality portable DAC to fully realize the potential of its hybrid drivers.
No, while they are rated IP55 for sweat, dust, and light splashes, they are not waterproof enough for swimming or submersion in water. They are built for workouts and commutes, not aquatic activities.
The Essonio ES-M91S is better suited for outdoor calls due to its dual-microphone setup designed to filter wind and ambient noise while capturing your voice clearly, whereas the Linsoul Odyssey is a wired monitor primarily focused on playback fidelity.
