If you want a versatile hybrid system with gaming-optimized nozzles and a metallic build, choose Linsoul SIMGOT EW300; if you need a dedicated planar magnetic monitor with studio-grade isolation and balanced connectivity, choose BASN ASONE PRO 14.2mm.
• Linsoul SIMGOT EW300: Offers a unique tri-matrix hybrid driver setup (Dynamic + Planar + Piezoelectric) with swappable tuning nozzles for distinct sound signatures; the trade-off is a higher impedance that may require more power to drive compared to entry-level monitors.
• BASN ASONE PRO 14.2mm: Delivers a pure 14.2mm planar magnetic driver experience with excellent noise isolation and includes both 3.5mm and 4.4mm balanced cables in the box; the trade-off is a lower sensitivity rating that might demand a powerful source for maximum volume.
• Best for: The EW300 suits those who want one pair of IEMs to handle everything from casual listening to competitive gaming, while the ASONE PRO is built specifically for critical listening, mixing, and audiophiles who prioritize detail retrieval and wide sound stages.
The Linsoul SIMGOT EW300 stands out immediately because it refuses to settle for a single sonic identity. By combining a dynamic driver, a planar magnetic driver, and a piezoelectric ceramic driver into a single chassis, SIMGOT has engineered what they call a "tri-matrix acoustic architecture." This isn't just about stacking drivers; it is about assigning specific frequency ranges to the unit best suited to handle them. The dynamic driver handles the low-midrange with a large 10mm diaphragm designed for transient quality and natural vocals, while the annular planar unit takes over the high frequencies to provide a level of detail that traditional moving iron units often struggle to match.
What truly sets this product apart for the modern user is the replaceable nozzle design. You aren't stuck with one sound signature forever. The package includes two distinct sets of nozzles: a standard set tuned to the Golden2023 curve for a balanced, musical presentation, and a specialized Gold Copper nozzle paired with purple silicone rings tuned to the H-2019 curve. This second option is explicitly tailored for gamers and audiovisual content consumption, where separating footsteps from gunfire or hearing subtle environmental cues is critical. If you are looking for the best headset for audiophiles who also game, this duality offers a compelling solution without needing to buy two separate pairs of earphones.
The physical construction reinforces its premium positioning. The enclosure is crafted from high-density alloy using precision CNC technology, finished with a mirror-plating process that gives it an elegant, robust appearance. It features a rounded shape that undergoes extensive 3D ear contour analysis to ensure a secure fit. However, potential buyers should note the specifications regarding connectivity and power. It uses a standard 0.78mm 2-pin connector with a silver-plated OFC cable, which ensures precise signal transmission. Yet, the impedance sits at 28 ohms with a sensitivity of 121 dB. While 121 dB is generally quite sensitive, the 28-ohm impedance means that pairing it with a weak smartphone output might not yield the full dynamic range the drivers are capable of, suggesting it benefits from a decent portable DAC or amplifier.

This product is ideal for the listener who values craftsmanship and versatility. If you are someone who wants a metal shell, a luxurious feel, and the ability to switch between a neutral reference mode and a competitive gaming mode, the EW300 fits your workflow perfectly. Conversely, if you prefer a lightweight plastic housing and do not care about swapping out tuning nozzles, or if you primarily listen to music on a phone with a very low-power output, you might find the mechanical complexity and impedance requirements less appealing.
The BASN ASONE PRO 14.2mm takes a different approach entirely, focusing on purity rather than hybrid complexity. At its heart lies a massive 14.2mm planar magnetic driver. In the world of in-ear monitors, size matters, especially for planar technology. A larger diaphragm like this allows for greater air movement and typically results in a wider, more expansive soundstage compared to smaller drivers. This makes the ASONE PRO an exceptional choice for musicians, producers, and audiophiles who demand studio-grade audio clarity. The driver is engineered to deliver unmatched detail and a wide sound stage, ensuring that every instrument sits in its own space within the mix.
Durability and professional utility are central to the ASONE PRO's design philosophy. It features a lightweight, ergonomic housing made from plastic, which prioritizes comfort during extended wear sessions. Whether you are mixing tracks for hours or performing live on stage, the design aims to prevent fatigue. A key differentiator here is the connectivity. Unlike many competitors that ship with a single plug type, BASN includes both a 3.5mm mono plug and a 4.4mm balanced plug in the box. This modularity via the MMCX interface allows you to connect directly to professional audio equipment or a balanced output on a high-end digital-to-analog converter without needing adapters that could introduce signal degradation.
The included accessories further emphasize its professional pedigree. Beyond the dual-ended cable, the package contains memory foam ear tips alongside silicone options, providing superior passive noise isolation. This is crucial for audiophiles who need to hear the finest nuances in their recordings without external interference. The sensitivity is listed at 100 dB with an impedance of only 16 ohms. While 100 dB is lower than the SIMGOT, the 16-ohm impedance suggests it is easier to drive electrically, though the planar nature still requires a source with good current delivery to control the large diaphragm effectively.
This product is perfect for the serious listener who treats music as a craft. If you are a musician looking for accurate monitoring tools or an audiophile seeking the best on-ear headphones for audiophiles who value soundstage width and isolation, the ASONE PRO delivers. However, if you are looking for a rugged metal body or a gaming-specific tuning profile, this might feel too clinical. It is a tool for precision listening, not necessarily a general-purpose entertainment device for casual mobile gaming.

After analyzing the specifications and intended use cases for both models, I have to make a choice based on what defines a true upgrade for a dedicated listener. If I were buying a new pair of IEMs today to serve as my primary daily driver, I would choose the Linsoul SIMGOT EW300. The reasoning is simple: the flexibility offered by the swappable nozzles is a feature I rarely see at this tier. Having the ability to tune the sound for a gaming session and then switch back to a neutral, musical signature for listening to albums without changing earbuds is incredibly practical. The tri-matrix driver setup also promises a rich, textured sound that feels more complete than a single-driver solution. While the BASN ASONE PRO is an incredible piece of engineering with its massive planar driver and balanced connectivity, the EW300's combination of metal build quality, aesthetic appeal, and functional versatility makes it the better all-around investment for most users. That said, if your primary goal is strictly studio monitoring or you already own a high-end balanced output player, the BASN remains a formidable contender. For the audiophile looking for a single pair that can adapt to multiple scenarios, the SIMGOT wins my recommendation.
Both the Linsoul SIMGOT EW300 and the BASN ASONE PRO 14.2mm are strictly wired in-ear monitors. They rely on detachable cables (2-pin for SIMGOT, MMCX for BASN) to transmit audio, so you will need a compatible audio jack or dongle to use them.
Yes, the EW300 features a unique replaceable nozzle design. It includes two distinct sets of nozzles with different tuning systems: one optimized for a balanced, musical sound (Golden2023 curve) and another specifically tuned for gaming and competitive audio (H-2019 curve).
The BASN ASONE PRO includes both plug types to ensure broad compatibility. The 3.5mm plug works with standard smartphones and laptops, while the 4.4mm balanced plug allows for direct connection to professional audio interfaces and high-end portable DACs that support balanced outputs for improved signal purity.
Both are designed for extended wear, but they offer different experiences. The BASN ASONE PRO emphasizes comfort with a lightweight plastic housing and includes memory foam tips for superior isolation, making it ideal for long studio sessions. The SIMGOT EW300 features a heavier metal shell but utilizes an ergonomic shape derived from 3D ear analysis to ensure a secure, comfortable fit for daily use.
