Welcome to Lin’s Learning Haven!

Hi! My name is JingJing Rachel Lin. Friends and family call me JingJing (pronounced like “Jingle Bell”), while students know me as Rachel.

I hold a B.S. in Mathematics from James Madison University, where I made the Dean’s List and received an Excellence Award on the Praxis II teaching exam. I’ve tutored students since high school, helping one high school student raise their math grade from the 60s to the 90s and helping other students build confidence and improve their SAT scores. I’ve also gained experience at Mathnasium and Art of Problem Solving, and volunteered with Refugee Hope Partners to help students with their math homework.

I enjoy helping students strengthen their math skills and prepare for the SAT through targeted practice and test-taking strategies. My patient, personalized approach helps students understand challenging concepts, build confidence, and become independent problem-solvers. I especially love seeing those “aha!” moments when everything clicks!

I’m also fluent in Mandarin Chinese and would be happy to discuss Chinese lessons for interested learners.
