Q: Where did you get the name "Linlo"?
A: Linlo has a meaning! Lin stands for "Linux" and lo stands for "Locator"! Essentially meaning Linlo is canonically named, Linux Locator.
Q: Is this software free?
A: Linlo is free and open sourced! Under my own custom license EWSW, you are granted access to the code and allowed to modify it! EWSW acts like a public domain license. And since the download is just the code, you are free to modify it! I am not taking donations, not even pennies and dimes, not even a thank you, just enjoy the software!
Q: Can I contribute?
A: Yes! You may contribute by giving me ideas! Or you may fork the projects code and make your very own version of Linlo with NO ATTRIBUTION and CREDIT with my name on it. If you would like to contribute to Linlo and give me ideas, join our Discord! https://discord.gg/Mp2z6ZQC8G
Q: Can this run on FreeBSD and macOS?
A: This runs on FreeBSD! Tho I am going to have people write the macOS code soon. But for now, I am 100% on the FreeBSD port! Since this is just Bash code, it can run UNIX like OS's so this could also be ran on OpenBSD, NetBSD, and probably even Solaris!
Q: Does this have dependencies?
A: Linlo needs findutils to run. For your specific OS, look into the Guides page, many Linux distros has been tested!
